Yes, marriage is amazing, but so is the single life. That's hard to remember if you are laser focused on finding a man to put a ring on it. But before you get tied down, there are so many things you can and should take advantage of right now. Take a look at the quintessential single girls bucket list. Here is every thing you need to do before marriage, mortgage, and kids.
- Date A LOT (sowing wild oats isn't just for guys)
- Go skydiving (because once you settle down and have kids, you may not have the nerve to be so risky)
- Travel alone
- Live alone (and relish the independence)
- Fill up your DVR with all the stupid reality shows you love (no ones around to judge)
- Get fit (because you will inevitably pack on the pounds after marriage and kids)
- Have a one-night stand (but use protection)
- Go to Paris or Rome and shamelessly flirt with all the gorgeous men you meet
- Be silly as much as humanely possible
- Try speed dating
- Take last minute, spontaneous trips
- Have a girl's weekend in Las Vegas
- Date younger guys
- Date older guys
- Buy yourself something outrageously expensive and totally impractical
- Experiment sexually (always wanted to hook-up with a girl or have a threesome? Now's the time to go for it)
- Pick up and move someplace new
- Stay out all night (like until day break)
- Let your friends set you up (and have an open mind about it)
- Try sex toys
- Push yourself physically by training for a marathon
- Hook up with that really cute co-worker at the office Christmas party
- Go skinny dipping
- Have your BFF create your online dating profile and roll with it no matter what she writes
- Spend an entire day with a friend who has kids (for some much needed perspective on how wonderfully tranquil your life really is at this point)
- Take a dance class
- Climb a mountain or a glacier just because you can
- Have a girls night in at least once a month
- Find a good wingwoman (and don't forget to return the favor)
- Cook amazing dinners just for yourself

Love this bucket list! At 30, and pregnant with my first child, reading this made me remember some great memories of being single in my early 20s. It was a freeing, scary, independent, thrilling time but I wouldn't go back to it for the world because I love my life now more than ever. That's how it should be, I guess? :)
I am sad that my daughter has to grow up in a world where the fun emphasis is put at sexually immorals doorstep!
I disagree with dating a lot, there is something to be said for not giving your heart to every Tom, Dick and Harry that looks your way.
Did 95% of these & I had a great single life. Now married with 2 kids at 36 & can say I don't regret a thing.
