10 Sex Don'ts That Should NEVER Happen in the Bedroom

by Emily Abbate on December 14, 2012 at 5:14 PM

Bed sheetsNo matter how you put it -- knock boots, smush, do the deed, get dirty -- everyone has certain things they love during sex. Maybe you're into girl on top. Maybe you're a missionary kind of lady. Heck, maybe you get off when your guy wears a monkey suit. To each her own.

However, there are some things that are just absolute no-nos between the sheets. Yeah you may not like a dirty talker, but that doesn't mean it's an absolute don't. They do exist, though.

Check out 10 of our biggest sex don'ts here:

1. Blood should never be drawn: Being rough is one thing, but being THAT rough ... it's a no-go.

2. NEVER answer your phone: Whoever is calling you during the time you're knocking boots can wait. If you answer it, you better believe I won't be waiting for you when you come back.

3. Wrong name, no game: Call me by an ex's name while doing the deed in a moment of passion, and I'll be so far out that door SO fast.

4. Don't treat me like an acrobat: If you're changing positions every 0.5 seconds, it's not fun.

5. Don't stop being yourself: If I like you for you, I don't want you to become someone you're not the second we do the deed. Unless we're role playing, that is.

6. Don't run away: We just got really intimate. Getting out of bed and running off the second you get off, well, that's just rude.

7. Don't forget to kiss: Sure, some positions may make this not-so-easy -- but you want to connect with your partner. No kissing = making your partner feel like you don't really care about them.

8. Don't fake it: We can tell. We can ALWAYS tell.

9. Don't lie: If you pretend to love missionary because you know your lady loves missionary, it'll be all over your face while doing the deed. Find positions you both like, and work with that.

10. Don't go silent: You want to know if your partner likes what's happening. I'm not saying talk through the entire sesh, I'm just saying a "Yeah, baby!" won't hurt.

What are your sex dos and don'ts?

For some reason, I thought this was going to be more serious. For personal safety, no blowing air into the vagina; it is fatal. No sticking sugar or anything with sugar in it into the vagina. No doing anything you or the partner(s) don't want to do.

yeah, i was hoping for some serious stuff too. like anal bleeding= potentially life threatening issue, or pressuring your partner into doing something they are not comfortble with!

Tuffymama, where have you heard that? It's only damaging to pregnant women- if it were dangerous to all women, (and please forgive the crudeness) death by farts would be a lot more common.

Blowing air can be fatal even whem not pregnant. I am not speaking of blowing air over it. I am speaking of blowing air in like you are trying to blow up a balloon. I believe the term for it is air embolism. I could ne wrong about the term but can be fatal to any woman nonetheless.

This is copied from Cosmopolitan sex expert Q & A section. "Actually, this is one strange rumor that is not all hot air. If your guy forms a seal around your vagina with his lips and forces air inside without allowing it to escape, bubbles can form, which travel through the opening in the cervix up into the uterus, where they may be absorbed into the bloodstream. If at any point the air bubbles block a blood vessel ‑- especially one that leads to the brain or heart ‑- it could cause a stroke, heart attack or even death. However, the chances of that happening are pretty slim. For one thing, blowing air into the vagina is dangerous only when your below-the-belt blood vessels are engorged due to hormonal changes that occur during menstruation or pregnancy. Plus, your guy would have to be puffing darn hard to put you at risk. So, if gentle blowing on your genital area feels good, you've got nothing to worry about. But if you are at all concerned, ask your guy to stick to other titillating techniques." More people should research before posting. It would help stop the spread of crazy rumors.

Im more curious aout no putting anything with sugar in the vagina, than the air? I would think this would not be uncommon. Why is it dangerous? At least according to tuffy mama?

Bunny, it can cause a yeast infection to put sweet things like candy in the vagina.
