Boone Hall Plantation

Good grief. After hearing about Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds' surprise fairytale wedding, I don't know whether to get all weepy and be happy for them or start writhing with jealousy over just how romantic the whole celebration was. I mean, plenty of couples have beautiful and meaningful weddings, but not too many of them actually get the chance to recite their vows on the grounds of a plantation where the movie, The Notebook, was filmed.

Yes, The Notebook, which is unarguably one of the sappiest yet most heartwarming dramas ever produced by Hollywood to this date. Ryan and Blake tied the knot at Boone Hall Plantation in Mt. Pleasant, S.C., which you will recognize as the sprawling summer home Allie lived in with her parents while she and Noah were falling in love -- you know, the house where he told her things were never going to work between them and left her crying in the driveway?

Anyhoo, that's where Ryan and Blake got married, and I highly doubt they were oblivious to the fact that The Notebook had been filmed there. And out of all the places they could've gotten hitched, the fact that they chose Boone Hall must mean they're a couple of incurable romantics who are truly after a love story just as passionate and never ending as Noah and Allie's (or something to that effect).

And even though Blake is only 25 and Ryan has been married before, getting married at this venue proves they are serious about their future together, and also have impeccable taste when it comes to throwing the perfect party. (Can you even imagine how gorgeous the place settings must have been? And how about the food? I'll bet it was incredible.)

Here is the original trailer for The Notebook -- take a look at the shots of Boone Hall Plantation for a glimpse of just how much of a fairytale this wedding must have been!

If you could get married in any movie location, where would it be and why?
