'50 Shades of Grey' Has Made It Hard for Men in the Bedroom

by Lindsay Mannering on August 10, 2012 at 11:43 AM

lipsAll this Fifty Shades of Grey stuff may be helping women get in touch with their inner goddess, but if you ask men, they're not necessarily feeling the love. A survey of 500 British blokes found that 55 percent feel more under pressure than ever to heat things up in the bedroom, now that their partner has read the book. Women want some Christian Grey kinkiness, and it sounds like their men don't know how to deliver.

These guys need to be, uh, whipped into shape, and I have just the thing for them.

It's called reading the book. If dudes are feeling a little inadequate in their sex lives right now, I suggest they move their eyes in a left to right pattern over the pages of Fifty Shades of Grey. It's just that easy. And now that the novel is the best-selling book in the history of Britain, well, it shouldn't be hard to get your hands on one.

Also, I feel like men should be excited about reading the book if their lady friends have. Knowledge is power, my friends, and it's in the dude's best interest to know what's up with Christian and Anastasia. How many times have we heard the stereotypical complaint that men want more sex from their partners, and jeez, it's like as soon as their dreams come true, they start complaining that they don't feel up to the challenge. Buy some rope, maybe a silk tie, turn down the lights, and shut the hell up already.

The Fifty Shades revolution (can we call it a revolution?) is something that guys should embrace, not hide from. Why waste time feeling sorry for yourself that your woman suddenly has some specific sexual requests? All you have to do is hear her, and boy, I'm sure you'll be in for a treat.

Has your partner read the book? Do you want him to?

My husband and I are planning to read the book soon. Why? because we are kinksters ourselves and the book gets passed around alot. Ok so heres the issue. Men who are kinky but dont know about everything cant trust a twilight fan fiction for instructions on how to be a good Dom, they have to find that out for themselves with trust, honesty and communication. If moms, couples choose to jump into bdsm, they need to safely and not to rely on labels. BDSM lifestlye is difficult. There is NO short cut.

WOW, guys are complaining because their women want more sex? I guess if they can't ask their women what they want, or ask them to explain what they want, then yeah they probably should get to reading....
