Let me start this post by stating that I love my husband very, very much. He's a great man, a great partner, and a great father. He possesses many exemplary qualities, not the least being his ability to put up with me and all my annoying habits (chronic sinus sniffling, inability to screw the peanut butter jar on tight, terrible habit of leaving all the cabinets in the kitchen gaping open, paralyzing fear of spiders, etc.).
THAT SAID, there are a few things he consistently does around the home that drive me absolutely batshit crazy. Please observe my meticulous photo documentation of these 9 husband fails and tell me -- am I justified in my wifely rage? If found guilty for reasons of household insanity, do I have a shot at a sympathetic jury? *craftily begins planning courtroom defense*

The dirty cereal bowl, caaaaaaaaarefully placed RIGHT at the juxtoposition of sink and dishwasher.

Speaking of cereal: are all the boxes left open so as to more efficiently allow the contents to become stale? Ding ding ding!

Points for not just leaving the empty cardboard tube on there, I guess.

Ohhhhh, so close. AND YET.

"That one paper? It's on my side of the desk," he says. O RLY? Excuse me while I send in a team of highly-trained search and rescue dogs.

KHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN.

Random Occurrences of Dropping Off the Face of the Earth, Cellphone-Wise. Hello? Hello? THIS IS THE UNITED STATES ARE WE REACHING?

"What? I did the laundry." No dude, you put a bunch of clothes in the washing machine, turned it on, then all thoughts of laundry instantly left your brain forever and ever, and all the clothes got mildewy-smelling from sitting in their own moist juices, and they by default became MY problem. WASH + DRY + PUT AWAY = LAUNDRY.

Hey I just vacuumed
and this is crazy
But you tracked in a shitload of dirt
so clean it maybe?
Whew. I'm glad I got all this off my chest. So, tell me -- what household habits does YOUR spouse have that drive you nuts?

*Yawn* So what? I'm sure you aren't a picnic to live with either. It's no wonder so many marriages fail. A lot of women can't stop nagging.
Oh god yes! This had me crying from laughing. My fiance does the same. Also: Socks all over the floor wherever he sees fit to take them off, fast-food cups (he's a manager at Wendy's) EVERYWHERE and then my dogs eat them (usually on my bed which was brand new and is now covered in soda stains), over-stuffing the garbage can until I take the bag out...and I STILL have to ask him to take it out (or do it myself), leaving the toothpaste and toothbrush just sitting out on the counter, and of course the fact that the laundry is always my responsibility...so when he needs clean work pants after a day off, he questions ME why he doesn't have clean pants. Oh! AND...when I wash clothes, he'll go out to the laundry room and JUST dry his work clothes for that day and then doesn't put the wet clothes in the dryer. They just sit in a basket next to the dryer while another wash load is going. So then I have 2 wet loads that need to be dried. UGH. Okay, enough complaining lol.
He will wash and dry his work clothes, but only his work clothes. Anything extra he leaves in the wash....with the lid open. So, after telling him several times not to do this (because it means extra work for me rewashing the clothes that have been left in the washer to dry out and become smelly), I put a note up. lol. In red marker. "Please do NOT leave the lid to the washer open. It makes the clothes dry out and become smelly and I will have to rewash them." Only took him 5 days to notice the sign. :-p
The toilet paper roll photo had me laughing
I think you have a right to be annoyed at some of the things but I had to laugh at your text message. You sounded like you were his mom talking to a child. What did you want him to say? You told him the people were coming over than said cool? like you were asking him after you all ready said they were coming. Then said "Acknowledge" like you were giving him a command. lol
I can't take pics right now, but here's my personal favorite: Sometimes I will leave a load of clothes in the dryer - he washes his own. I'll come into the laundry room the next day to my clean clothes on top of the washer (or, worst case scenario, back in the dirty hamper) and his clothes on top of the dryer. I'm like "See baskets? Those are for clean clothes." He will also spaz if I move his clothes from the laundry room "OMG where are my socks/boxers/work clothes???" Uh, in the closet/dresser where they belong, maybe? I was nice - this time.
LOL This was funny, the hamper thing cracked me up.
