Demi Moore's Phone Calls to Ashton Kutcher Are Getting Ridiculous

by Nicole Fabian-Weber on July 31, 2012 at 2:00 PM

demi mooreWhen the world was let in on the fact that Ashton Kutcher cheated on Demi Moore, my heart broke for her. For a million reasons. One, her husband cheated on her. Two, it wasn't a private problem to be dealt with, as the entire Us Weekly-reading population, and their +1s, knew he was cheating, too. And three, let's face it, Demi Moore is significantly older than Ashton, so his cheating -- with a woman much younger than she -- had to be a blow to her ego. All around, sounds like a crap situation made crappier.

But then I heard that, despite reports of her moving on with cute (and, yes, younger) actor, Martin Henderson, she's still calling Ashton.

And I was like, Dude.

According to the always elusive "insider," Demi just can't get over Ashton -- so she continues to call him on a regular basis -- and it's really starting to piss off her kids.

I mean, look. If Demi's not over Ashton yet, it's understandable. The two were married and together for a long time. It's not like people have the ability to magically shut off their emotions. But perhaps she should stop calling him. I can't imagine that's doing any good.

We've all had our hearts broken before -- and I think it's safe to assume that most of us have made a phone call or sent a text when we probably shouldn't have. But there comes a point. A point when it needs to stop. A point when it becomes unhealthy.

Demi Moore may be getting some form of instant gratification when she hears Ashton's voice, but at this stage in the game, it kind of seems like it's doing more harm than good. She's a beautiful woman with three lovely daughters -- lovely daughters who wish she'd heed their advice. She doesn't need Ashton. And judging by the way things turned out, she never did.

Have you ever called an ex when you know you shouldn't have?

These insiders, man. Must be legit. No way they're out to sell a story for a few bucks.

Us Weekly is your source?  Seriously?  I know this is The Stir but are you kidding me?  Why not tell me about the three headed martian babies that landed in Idaho and are taking over the world?  That has more credibility....

She was married to him for years, so what if she calls him!

Right, aRealteenMother? It couldn't possibly be someone out to make a quick buck. I can't believe how some people take these "insider's" stories like it's the frickin' gospel or something and half the time it's just a valet or maid who overheard something, or thought they did.

It's hard really hard for some women to completely let go, the bad thing is that she is a public figure and those "close friends and insiders"  tend to babble or make up stuff. If  a break up is hard for ordinary people, it is many times harder for the likes of Demi.

    1) so, if he's a good guy with faults (aren't we all), there could have been healthy parts of the relationship that are difficult to replace... even if she doesn't want the faults. 2) Like others said -- 4 years, ex- husband. Look, if he doesn't say stop, then who is anybody else to judge it?
