All together everyone, once more: AWWW, Poor Robert Pattinson! It seems like the whole world feels for this guy. Um, some of us more than others. I only hope Kristen had the lady-balls to tell him the bad news herself, in person, before the story of her kissy betrayal hit the tabloids.
And rumor has it she did -- backstage at the Teen Choice Awards! A source tells Page Six that "Rob and Kristen were having a long and intense conversation backstage, and he looked miserable, heartbroken and humiliated. She was pleading." Can you imagine! And then he has to go back out on stage and be his usual charming self. But if the story is true, Kristen was being an honorable girlfriend.
As painful as it would be for RPatz to find out his girl had stepped out on him, it'd way better hearing it from Kristen herself than from, say, her publicist. Or from her public apology via People Magazine. Never, ever let People Magazine deliver bad news for you!
So hopefully KStew took full responsibility for her actions and confronted Robert in person. It sounds horrible for both of them, actually. I'm sure Kristen must have felt terrible when (if?) she gave Rob the news. No one likes to break a heart! But it's the compassionate thing to do. Robert wants her to know how she made him feel. It's important for both of them -- and for their relationship, if they want to repair the damage.
I'm not thrilled that Kristen cheated on Robert. But if she fessed up in person I have to admit, I definitely admire that.

Sorry but if you cheat you have NO honor. If she felt that way for a married man maybe she should have broken up with Robert first. If she didn't want to break up with him then she should have stayed the heck away from this other man. You can't have your cake and eat it too.
does it occur to anyone that they may have possibly resolved this already, long before this story broke? Just sayin....
If she really did tell him backstage at a major award event then she's a piece of shit for doing so, there's a time and place for that. But I found out an ex was cheating on me so I change up his phone contacts. I changed the bimbo's number with his grandma's cell. I really wish I could have seen her face when he sent her a picture of his dick.

I also think that she could have confessed to this privately before any of this came out in the media. Perhaps that's why she was so quick to confess in public, because she had already told him and they were dealing with it. We don't know and I won't presume to guess.
In fact I'm only commenting because I find what this article is saying unspeakably horrible. You "admire" her for coming clean to him BACKSTAGE at an award's show. Are you out of your mind? IF this is true, and I seriously hope that it isn't, this makes her the most vile sort of creature imaginable. Not only did she betray his trust and their relationship in such a careless and heartbreaking manner, but she robbed him of the chance to express himself and deal with his hurt feelings. IF she told him backstage, then she also chose the worse time ever by backing him into a corner knowing that he would have to go out on stage and be his usual 'charming' self. It would be an incredibly SELFISH act that shows you have no regard for the other person by giving them your bad news when they don't have a moment to analyze it because that's what you want to do. You don't care how they feel and you really don't want to. IF she did this, she manipulated him, and used their public setting to force his hand and save herself a blowup which her actions rightly deserve. IF this happened then she's not only a cheater but manipulative and selfish. And there's absolutely nothing honorable in that.
Maybe she told him beforehand, and the conversation was just a continuation of a previous conversation. Maybe he wouldn't return her calls so she had to talk to him at the awards show, where he couldn't really get away from her.
