Welp, it's here. Hardcore evidence that Kristen Stewart did, in fact, cheat on boyfriend Robert Pattinson with Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders has materialized in a way no on really saw coming -- Kristen just issued a public apology and released a statement admitting to the affair. In what has to be an entertainment industry first, KStew confirmed the rumor, addressed it head on, and acknowledged her wrongdoing. So did Rupert.
Kristen said:
I'm deeply sorry for the hurt and embarrassment I've caused to those close to me and everyone this has affected. This momentary indiscretion has jeopardized the most important thing in my life, the person I love and respect the most, Rob. I love him, I love him, I'm so sorry.
So there it is, folks, proof. Perhaps the Mayans had it all wrong, seems like July 25, 2012 is actually the end of the world as we know it.

Not to be outdone, Rupert Sanders also released a public apology.
I am utterly distraught about the pain I have caused my family. My beautiful wife and heavenly children are all I have in this world. I love them with all my heart. I am praying that we can get through this together.
Guess it's pretty easy to forget about the boyfriend you love, love, and your beautiful wife and heavenly children when amateur lust gets in the way. But I digress.
Let's discuss Kristen's statement. I admire Kristen's team's decision to just go ahead and fess up to this whole mess -- they could've denied this, or at least never spoken about it publicly, but instead they grabbed the bull by the horns and issued a mea culpa. That's fine and all, but do you think it's really helping anything?
If you've ever been cheated on in a big way (I'm not talking eighth grade hand-holding scandals), then you probably know what Rob's going through. Once you find out you've been burned by the person you love most, it's hard to tell which way is up. And because of that, you might want a little time to catch your breath before you let your friends, family, or in this case, fans know that you've been screwed.

Kristen selfishly took that time away from him and made herself look like some Tinsel Town trailblazer. She fessed up! How noble! How revolutionary! I'd venture to guess the compliments she's likely getting for this statement probably doesn't help Rob feel any better. In fact, it might make him feel worse.
If I were Rob, I'd release a public statement of my own to People mag to express my feelings. A nice, simple, eloquent statement along the lines of:
F You, KStew.
Pretty much says it all.

As stated we don't know if she fessed up to Robert before making the statement... and we don't know the whole story...alot of older actors have cheated on their spouses and have stayed with them... pictures show them kissing and that is about all...the paps like to cause trouble and if kissing is all they did, then if she and Robert really and truely care for one another, they will talk it out and get past it...remember, she is young and Robert is her truely first real romance...and what I mean is that the other guy was her first b/f and they were serious but they were teens... she is living with Robert and all so naturally she would be curious and whose to say that guy didn't pursue her?? My daughter went through something like that last year with her b/f..working in the same place as him, living with him and he was her first b/f and first love....another co-worker of her's showed interest and then kissed her; he intiated it and she kissed back but then stopped it...they worked things out, talked and now they are together and have a beautiful son because of it!!! Whatever happens with Robsten will be up to them, not us and either way, both are good actors..if she wasn't good she wouldn't continue to get work!
