Tom Cruise Is Incapable of Being Married to a Woman Older Than 33

by Cynthia Dermody on June 30, 2012 at 12:33 PM

Katie Holmes & Tom Cruise

Everyone is analyzing to death the Katie Holmes, Tom Cruise split, when really, there isn't much to analyze. Look for all the clues, signs and reasons you want. Truthfully, their marriage wasn't much different than any of the other numerous Hollywood marriages that crumble after a few years. She was a young and impressionable up-and-comer courted by a big-time movie star who happened to be a religious wackadoo. That's the story, folks. Katie is 33, a mom, and she wised up before it was too late.

But she was not the only one. Everyone is talking about how interesting it is that all of Cruise's ex-wifes left the marriage at the same exact age: 33. And that, it seems, is a bona fide trend, people. But what does it mean, exactly?

It could be coincidence or it could mean that the 30s for a woman is a time of maturity, when you've lived and experienced and suffered enough to have your shit together. It's an age when you are more able to recognize you've made a mistake and when it's time to get out before it's too late. As it was for ...

Mimi Rogers. She and Cruise met in the early 80s and eventually married. It was Rogers who introduced and brought Cruise into the Scientology cult religion, so at least we know it was other reasons that led them to stray from each other. They divorced after three years.

Nicole Kidman. She and Cruise met on the set of Days of Thunder. They adopted several children and lasted over 10 years.

Both former ex-wives are currently remarried with children and seemingly happy, so we can only hope the same will follow eventually for Katie.

Have you ever been divorced? What age did you split up?

How bout you just shut up about it period. This is someone's private life and pain. Any article printed about it digging for info that is nobodies business is rude and so damn disrespectful. Let's not forget there is a child involved!

Nicole said herslef that the kids wanted to stay in LA and she followed her BF to Nashville. Anyway, yeah, women think for themselves, Tom needs a little girl to control.

Uummmm...their life is NOT private. At all. And that was of THEIR choosing. You dont get to say HEY LOOK AT US and PAY us TONS of money for interviews and magazine covers of our baby and us and show up when we call to tell you we are leaving this restaurant or that clothing store......and then ask for privacy because it suddenly doesnt suit you. It is kinda a rude to use your Internet anonymity to lash out so harshly at someone for writing an opinion piece IN a forum that is ALL about opinions and silliness. As for good ole TomKat.......this is mellow to what will and can be written about them and what they have in store......and ya know what??? They earned EVERY penny.....

I know they are both uber famous and all, but I truly believe that they are still entitled to some sort of private life, and feel that this is their personal pain and we are not to be privy to every tidbit of info, and obviously, we are not. We don't live with them, we don't know what goes on/went on, behind their closed doors.

This is a time of true sadness! Their daughter should be the focus of their attention, and obviously where their best interests should lie at this time in their lives. This poor child is losing her family stability. Her world as she knows it will never be the same, and to make things even worse, it is all over the news and every where she goes (with paparazzi taking pics!).

Any time a family falls apart, despite the cause, the situation, or the people involved, it should never be a time to celebrate.

How 'bout an article on Hollywood couples who stayed married for more than a decade?  Now THAT's news.
