Looks like Katie couldn't wait to get goin'!Surprise, surprise! Katie Holmes has filed for divorce from Tom Cruise, according to an exclusive report from People. The news was confirmed by Katie's attorney, Jonathan Wolfe, who said, "This is a personal and private matter for Katie and her family. Katie's primary concern remains, as it always has been, her daughter's best interest." PLUS -- Katie is seeking sole custody of Suri! WOW, huh?
Meanwhile, Tom's rep confirmed with this statement: "Kate has filed for divorce and Tom is deeply saddened and is concentrating on his three children. Please allow them their privacy." So much talk of privacy! (He didn't seem to care much about privacy when he was jumping up and down on couches now, did he?) Does that mean we can't throw an over-the-top fete on behalf of Katie's contract expiration, ahem, moving on?
Looks like Katie got off pretty good ... Just five years, eh? Seems to me Nicole Kidman signed up to put up with Tom's nonsense for 10 years before she could go off and marry her real Prince Charming (aka Keith Urban). Now, we can only hope that Katie follows in Nicole's footsteps. Maybe this means she can get back together with the man who is probably Suri's real dad ex-boyfriend Chris Klein?!? Or ex-ex-boyfriend Joshua Jackson? (Probably not, but we Dawson's Creek fans can dream!)

Either way, I can't wait to see her move on to another guy she has a real, genuine connection with and who she can be herself with! Because let's be honest. Whether or not you believe TomKat's marriage was for real, you have to admit that ever since the two got together, Katie's been a shadow of her former self. So creepy. It's like he took her soul as a security deposit! But now, with divorce looming, she's totally primed for a major personality (and likely also career) COMEBACK! Woohoo!
What a relief. Let's just hope the real reason Tom is "deeply saddened" isn't that he now has to contract wed another starlet to keep up appearances.

Of course she's asking for sole custody - 'cause that ain't his baby.
He did not father children w/either of his first two wives - both of whom, after divorcing him, went on to have children; meaning he more than likely can't make babies.
People have long said that Suri is the product of the frozen sperm of L Ron Hubbard. Wouldn't doubt it. Just glad this poor girl is getting out of that craziness and can hopefully recover from 5 years of attempted brainwashing. She has looked miserable for years.
In CA , even IF Suri wasn't Tom's, he's still legally the father: any child born into a marriage is legally his, bio or not, even with all the DNA, video and receipts in the world. And is why she's trying to secure legal custody. Do not be confused with physical custody, visitation, etc.

Probably the scientology bit. I read up on it once and the whole survival of the fittest idea just doesn't strike me as fair.
