Jennifer Aniston & Justin Theroux Just Can't Make It Work (VIDEO)

by Maressa Brown on April 17, 2012 at 7:24 PM

Jennifer Aniston justin therouxSurprise! As soon as Brangelina get engaged, the rumor mill has goin' double-time with Jen Aniston news. First, we're told she's super-happy for her ex-hubby, because she's in a "wonderful place" with current BF Justin Theroux. (Some tabloids even claim she's preggers and the two are about to tie the knot, as well!) But, gossip from across the pond paints a very different picture about Jen's love life.

Reportedly, Jen and Justin's relationship is failing -- big time. Like, hardcore, on the brink of a breakup BAD. After a big blowup fight on Easter weekend, and Jen was left in "floods of tears." Doesn't sound like someone who is over-the-moon happy and in love to me!

A source "close to the situation" tells the U.K.'s Grazia magazine of the couple:

Justin suggested he needed some space, which escalated into an almighty row, and by the end of it he said he wanted a break and told Jen he had been looking into buying a place of his own in Los Angeles.

Sounds like one major point of contention is where they each want to live. As we heard a while back, Justin was arguing with her over where they should spend the bulk of their time -- NYC vs. L.A. A source explained:

At the beginning of the relationship, he didn't want to compromise his New York life, which is why Jen bought a place there. When she wasn't happy, he moved with her back to L.A. But it's not really his scene.

Okay, so if this is true -- you gotta give them both props for trying the other's city on for size for a while. But now -- who knows? I can't help but wonder if they've got trouble seeing eye-to-eye on the big things.

Unfortunately, even if you bend over backwards trying to compromise with your partner and make it work, someone might have to be okay with sacrificing something major from time to time. If you're not 100 percent in sync on where to live, whether or not to have kids/how many kids, what religion you'll raise 'em, etc., you figure it out and attempt to find common ground. For the sake of your relationship.

I don't get the impression that Jen's selfish and immature, but Justin might be. (This is the same guy after all who left his live-in girlfriend of 14 years like that for Jen.) While it may be painful for Jen right now, perhaps space is exactly what he needs to figure out what he wants. Whether he's willing to make it work -- or call it a day.

Check out this clip of the pair in NYC last year ...

Have you and your partner always seen eye to eye on the big things or did it take a lot of work?

Why are you treating a UK tabloid as even a halfway reliable source? How would they have any more inside dirt than one of the American tabs? Even the tabloids that have he benefit of being on the same continent as these two are spectacularly wrong every week.

My hubby and I are lucky enough that we agree on practically everything. If we don't, it doesn't take long for us to compromise.

Couldn't agree more Bamboo! Anyone believing a UK tabloid as low level as Grazia is foolish. Love how it's own story contradicts itself by saying how Justin wants to get his own place in LA, but yet the couple is apparently at odds about where to live because he wants to be in NY! That video tells you why they are mostly in LA...so that they aren't harassed everytime they need to leave their house. They've looked for a more private place in NY, and I'm sure will eventually buy another place there, but for now non-tabloid The Wall Street Journal has reported their LA home is in fact theirs; that they bought it jointly. So I'm sure Justin is fine with being mainly based in LA. The tabloids need to leave her alone to live her life and relationship.
