zoe saldanaSurprise, surprise! The current Sexiest Man Alive may not be single anymore. Tongues are wagging that Bradley Cooper's got a new lady love ... none other than his The Words co-star and Avatar star, Zoe Saldana. Sources have told E! News that the pair is extremely happy together and have just now started to tell family and friends that they're an item.

Here's what I want to know, though ... exactly when did they first get together? They filmed The Words -- a flick in which they got pretty up close and personal -- back in June, but Zoe only announced her split from fiance and partner of 11 years, Keith Britton, in November. Interesting, eh? Stars hooking up with one another while filming -- even while they might be attached to someone back at home -- is nothing new. That may not have even been what happened here. Either way, Bradley and Zoe are wise to keep things as hush-hush as they have so far.

I'm pretty sure it's never really a great idea to flaunt a brand new relationship when break-up wounds are still relatively fresh. That definitely applies to breaking up with someone you've been with for over a decade ... less than two months ago. Even if things fell apart well before they made the break-up official, it's not cool to be crazy-conspicuous with your new love.

A friend of mine actually just went through something similar, having recently broken up with her on-again, off-again boyfriend of 10 years. Then, she met someone she was head over heels for around the exact time things were falling apart with her ex. I gotta give her props for keeping her new relationship under wraps for the most part until a decent amount of time -- about three, four months -- had passed, and the dust had actually settled on her break-up.

There are various reasons to play it cool in a situation like that: Maybe out of respect for your ex, or to guard your new relationship to make sure it isn't affected by others passing judgment just yet.

I'm sure Bradley and Zoe have their own reasons for keeping their relationship quiet, and I say more power to them. Whenever they're ready to "come out" -- if that's now or in the near future -- I have a feeling loved ones and their fans will embrace them as a couple with open arms. Even if it means no other woman will have the chance to lay claim to the Sexist Man Alive.

What do you think about Bradley and Zoe together? Do you think it's smart to wait a while before going public with a new relationship that developed quickly after a break-up?
