A romantic guy in Alabama wanted to catch his proposal to his girlfriend on film. So on a walk through the woods with their adorable Labrador, Macey, he pretended he was setting up the camera to take a self-timed photo, but really it was set to video-mode to record his grand gesture. It starts out great, we see him get down on one knee -- the look of shock on her face is priceless -- then, something happens.
Macey didn't want to be left out of the fun! She got involved, in a big way.
About 10 seconds into the sweet proposal, Macey comes barreling at the camera 100 miles an hour, knocks it over, and the screen goes black. The video that was supposed to be a sweet keepsake for the loving couple turned viral when everyone wanted to see the funny shot of a dog ruining everything. It's so cute. Between this, the couple in their 90s who died holding hands, and the penguin sweaters, my heart might just explode.
The couple is now happily married, but Macey is no longer with them. She passed away from heat exhaustion after the newlyweds' home was destroyed by the tornadoes that ripped through the area in April. So sad. She looked like such a sweet, happy pup. The couple says they don't think Macey ruined their proposal at all, and I'd have to agree. She made it something to remember.
Congrats to the happy couple, and may sweet, sweet Macey rest in peace.
