Only Anna Faris Could Make Armpit Hair a Turn-On

Anna Faris
Anna Faris
Only Anna Faris, the adorable and sexy star of the upcoming comedy What's Your Number?, could grow out her armpit hair and be told -- by a man -- that it's a huge turn-on. AmIright? Apparently the blonde comedienne grew her underarm hair out all summer for Sacha Baron Cohen's upcoming comedy The Dictator, and turns out her cutie husband Chris Pratt, well, found it to be a total turn-on!

Hmmm, strange how this is NOT the reaction I got from the boy I was dating the summer I decided to grow my armpit hair out.

I don't know why my two best friends and I thought it would be fun to grow out our armpit hair one summer. I think we thought it was punk rock or, more likely, bad-ass feminist rock that matched our Doc Marten combat boots. And truthfully, it was liberating! And sort of fun. Sure, things get a little more sweaty feeling under there, but I was loving the whole "experience" of it.

I happened to be dating a bit of a prude that same summer, and he told me if I grew it, he would, get this, break up with me. It took everything in me not to go buy some advanced hair growth creme and apply it to my pits that very night -- because you DO NOT CHALLENGE ME on the grounds of FRICKIN' ARMPIT HAIR if you're sleeping in my bed.

If I remember correctly, he did break up with me, but then he came back for more -- once that "little phase" of mine was over -- and I let him because I was a dumbish 20-something. Of course, I knew for sure after that it was never going to work out between me and him. Not if a few curly Qs under yonder could get between us. Where is your creative spirit, dude? What a bore!

Turns out Anna Faris's husband Chris Pratt had the opposite reaction to her underarm creative expression. He found it to be a turn-on but not in the way you might think:

It was a huge turn-on -- and not because I'm attracted to armpit hair. It's because she's willing to go so hard for a joke. That, to me, was really sexy. She was willing to spend the entire summer in shirts that were at least half-sleeve in length -- all for one gag. That shows focus and dedication.

That's right -- focus and dedication. Where was the love the summer I had so much focus and dedication?

Have you ever grown out your armpit hair? Does your partner like it?

I haven't grown out my armpit hair, but it's not unusual for me to go a couple of months in winter (I live in the north.) without shaving my legs.  It's never been an issue with my husband; and if it ever was, too bad for him.

I think Chris Pratt's reason for finding it sexy is dead on.  He's a smart man.

I dont do it myself, but there is only one other person in this world who can pull this off as sexy...Amanda Palmer. she is amazing.

I expect my boyfriend to put some effort into his appearance and not look gross and im sure she expects the same from me.

I had NO clue they were married!! What a freaking AWESOME and super cute couple! I love them both :) I think his reaction is wonderful. I personally could NEVER grow out my armpit hair. But I also hate having hair anywhere but on my head and eye brows. It did, however, happen when I was hospitalized for a month and it was soooooo uncomfortable even with all the pain meds to distract me.

I have dreadlocked pit hair with beads in the ends right now. It's pretty awesome.

I rarely shave my armpits - only maybe two or three times a year in the summer when I'm not feeling particularly brave. I've not got any complaints - the men I've slept with either don't mind my hairy armpits, or found it a turn-on. Quite refreshing really!
