There's nothing like a wedding to get us all in the mood for, well, a wedding. If we're not in a relationship at a wedding, we want to be in one; if we are in one, we want to get married; if we've already been married, we want to do it again! Weddings are just big love fests, and they make people feel and say kooky things.
Case in point, Prince William's younger brother, Prince Harry, aka the world's most eligible bachelor incumbent. Apparently, the dude was overheard saying to his on-again, off-again girlfriend, Chelsy Davy, at the big event: "You're next." To which Chelsy giggled and kissed him on the outside, died a thousand deaths on the inside.
See, dudes shouldn't say that to their ladies unless they really mean it. And dudes really shouldn't say it all if they're a prince.
There's no doubt in my mind that both Pippa and Harry had to be a wee bit envious of all the pomp and circumstance surrounding the royal event. And even though they both know that their weddings, whenever they happen, will not be as big of a deal as the one that took place on Friday, I'm sure they couldn't help but dream of when ...
I mean, Harry has settled down in recent years. It's been a while since we've seen him in a Nazi uniform, or trashed at a local pub. He seemed totally together, sweet, and mature at the wedding. He almost seemed ready for his own.
However, like I said, we're not thinking straight at weddings. We're watching two people romantically give their lives to one another -- it gets us drunk on love, and makes us feel ready for the next step, whatever that may be. I think if we give it a couple more weeks, and everybody returns to post-royal wedding, normal life, Harry won't be ready to pop the question to Chelsy.
Which leaves Chelsy! Poor Chelsy. Here, her boyfriend made this flippant comment at his brother's wedding -- probably after he had one too many drinks -- and now she's stuck planning an imaginary royal wedding in her head that probably won't happen for quite some time, if ever!
Personally, I'm rooting for it to happen. I'm totally ready for another royal bash! Although I'd be lying if I said I wouldn't rather it be with Pippa.
What do you think of Prince Harry's comments?
