Paralyzed Bride Refused to be Wheeled Down the Aisle

wedding aisleJen Darmond gave new meaning to "walking down the aisle" when she married her husband, Mike Belawitz, on Saturday. The bride, who is paralyzed from the waist down after a horrible head-on collision, was determined not to be wheeled down the aisle -- and with the help of some metal braces, a walker, and a pair of sneakers, she succeeded!

Mike, who attended sessions with her not just in her hometown of Canada, but in Detroit as well, did what some may not have had the courage to do: On their four-year anniversary, he asked Jen to marry him! After accepting, Jen said it wasn't an "if" she was going to walk down the aisle, it was a "when."

I mean, can you think of a more wonderful, more beautiful wedding? None of that platinum stuff here. Just pure, unadulterated, conquering love. Amazing! Congratulations!

How amazing do you think Jen is? What other inspiring wedding stories have you heard?
