John Nuzzo, known as John Leslie in the adult film industry, has died at the age of 65. The cause of death hasn't been confirmed yet, but it's believed to be a massive heart attack. Nuzzo was seen as a pioneer in the porn industry, having appeared in about 300 adult films, including Talk Dirty to Me, and eventually becoming a successful porn director of over 100 films. He received several awards throughout his career, including inductions into the Legends of Erotica Hall of Fame and AVN's Hall of Fame.
Yep, this guy was the godfather of one of the sleaziest businesses around! And wait until you hear what his crazy personal life was like!
So are you all geared up to hear about the naked pool parties, the 10-person orgies, the scandalous love affairs with Hollywood actresses, and the drunken one night stands? Well, in actuality, the guy was a bit of a porn-making purist and not at all the stereotype one might conjure up. Pornographer by day, in his daily life Nuzzo focused more on music, art, and cooking. He did have a band, but instead of raunchy rock 'n' roll, they specialized in the blues. He was also married to the same woman, Katherine Nuzzo, for the last 23 years and they lived in a small town in California. Crazy, huh?
Nuzzo starred in porn in the 1970s and 1980s, before the AIDS crisis hit and well before porn made its way to DVD and the Internet. Around the time of his marriage, he moved behind the camera, but he saw and endured the ups and downs of adult film and ended up being well-respected and admired in his industry.
Gosh, that sounds as tame as anybody's father or grandfather, surely not a porn pioneer.
Are you surprised a porn king could have such an ordinary life?
