Dear Diary,
Jake just dropped me off. We had the most amazing date today! My BFF told me about this orchard in upstate New York, so Jakey-poo and I checked it out. OMG she was so right, it was beautiful! We went apple picking, drank hot cider, and ate hot dogs. But OMG I was like soooo embarrassed because I got ketchup on my cheek, but Jake wiped it off for me, just like they do in the movies! He’s so sweet.
And you’ll never guess what he did in the orchard -- HE HELD MY HAND!!!!!!!!!!!!
I KNOW! So soon, right? But I really like him, and I think he may actually be The One. I know I said that about Taylor and, ugh, John (that butthead!), but I really think it may be real this time. He’s so hot!
Well, I have a press thingy tomorrow and it’s late (10pm!) so have to go to bed. Byeeee!

Expect to hear something along these lines in Taylor Swift’s next album (only rhymed). She and Jake Gyllenhaal have been spotted out on dates together -- dates that seriously consisted of apple picking and going out for ice cream. What is this, third grade? Not to mention, Taylor apparently had yogurt with rainbow sprinkles -- I can’t make this shit up.
You know what I was doing when I was out on dates in my early 20s? Making out in the dark corner of a bar after one too many cocktails. Not skipping down Brooklyn, giggling, while songbirds chirped music for my next album around us.
This sounds like too much of a Disney movie to me -- frankly, it freaks me out. A hot 29-year-old guy is not going to spend an afternoon apple picking unless he’s married and is forced to. Or he’s gay.
Hey, maybe we’ve solved the riddle.

Wow. I'm no fan of Taylor Swift - because I don't like her music. But just, wow. I'm 40, and I have done all three of those things - apple picking, going out for ice cream, and put rainbow sprinkles on my yogurt - on dates with my husband (before and after marriage). You know what? The apple picking afternoon was a lot of fun... we were outdoors, doing something fun, and had a chance to TALK to each other. Same with the ice cream/yogurt thing... sitting in a place, actually face-to-face, and talking. Or is that kind of thing off-limits for dates now? If you're a star, you are only allowed to be seen drunk, wobbling half-naked out of a nightclub on the arm of some random guy?
I can't believe I'm coming to Taylor Swift's defense, but honestly, this is just ridiculous.
yeah, if she was running around like all the other starlets flashing themselves sans underwear we would be crucifying her.
Have to agree with the others here. I think it's cute and ten times better then a lot of other stars her age.
Oh yes, because these young celebs/musicians that are being self destructive and slutty are so much more entertaining and likeable. o.O
Taylor Swift hasn't (and hopefully won't) hit the downward spiral that so many others her age have, and this is a bad thing because??? Shame on her for going on an innocent date rather than drinking herself stupid and screwing every guy she sees, driving under the influence, and landing herself in rehab before the age of 21. Gosh. What is WRONG with her?

I think Brittany has a HUGE problem with Taylor Swift. It is fine if you don't like her and her music but to pick at everything she writes or does is over the top.
It is a fresh romance and innocent and people seem to have a problem with it? What do people want from her? To go out partying all night and have public make out sessions??? When she is doing something right and innocent, she is bashed. What is so wrong with an innocent relationship? People are wanting her to grow up TOO fast.
She shouldn't be acting like a slut [even though the article didn't once say she should] but come on. She acts as if she's 14 every time a boy breaks her heart... crying and hanging him out to dry on her latest album. If she doesn't want to be judged, this goes for everyone, don't put so much information out there.
