No More Dating Excuses! 4 Brand-New Ways to Meet a Mate

April Peveteaux

dating optionsThere are now officially one zillion ways to find a romantic partner in this world. Or at least in the cyber world.

Greenlight Moments put together a really fun list of new methods of finding love, which also includes their own novel approach to dating that hearkens back to the Victorian era.

If you like the idea of having a gentleman caller, you can try a Greenlight card intro that allows you to approach someone you find interesting, without being intrusive. If they want to know more about you, they log on to Greenlight and the two of you can connect. Very mysterious, no?

Other great new dating options include, but are certainly not limited to:

IPhone Dating App: Would you believe there’s a new location-based iPhone application that spots would-be daters who are in the same area as you at the same moment in time? It’s true! It’s like a radar screen where you can zero in on each other's exact location and meet up for what might turn into your next big romance. Again, worth a shot; however, be forewarned that there are safety issues and, not that there’s anything wrong with it, but if you’re looking for more than a “hook-up,” be sure you’re admirer knows this upfront.

Themed Dating: In March, it was first dates over tacos. By month’s end, fondue became the fare of choice. Bring your own beer dates dominated in April. Then lobster rolls were all the rage. Choose the type of date you’d like to go on and will help you find the person to go with based on their interests and desires.

The Fix Up Show: If you live close to New York City -- or you’re planning a trip there soon -- meet your new date on Broadway and be part of the show! Celebrity guests help real singles get fixed-up on a date live on stage for what promises to be a very memorable evening. Ahhh, The Thee-A-Tah. Drama draws me in but I think I’d miss that “fourth wall.” Try it and let me know how it goes, all you thespian wanna-bes!

Personally, if I were single again I'd totally try HowAboutWe, it sounds like a blast!

Would you try any of these new fangled dating options?
