Cleavage causes earthquakes, well, really, slutty women in general, according to Iran's leading cleric Kazem Sedighi. He backs up this claim. Despite being on top of many fault lines, Tehran hasn't had a major earthquake since 1830, and the women there are very covered up.

"Many women who do not dress modestly ... lead young men astray, corrupt their chastity, and spread adultery in society, which (consequently) increases earthquakes," he said.

Could the Earth really get hot and bothered by scantily clad women tramping around?

Blogger Jen McCreight is putting this to the ultimate test with Boobquake.

"On Monday, April 26, I will wear the most cleavage-showing shirt I own," she wrote on her blog. "I encourage other female skeptics to join me and embrace the supposed supernatural power of their breasts. Or short shorts, if that's your preferred form of immodesty. With the power of our scandalous bodies combined, we should surely produce an earthquake."
