Romance Tip of the Day: Check Out a View

View of Manhattan from Brooklyn
One of my favorite things to do in NYC is walk hand-in-hand with a loved one across the Brooklyn Bridge. Why? Because you get this view (see photo) from the Brooklyn side.

Touristy? Yes. But incredibly romantic and something I'll never get sick of, even if I live here for 50 years.

Everywhere I've lived, I've always enjoyed a special place with a special someone. And would sometimes even go out there by myself, just to enjoy quiet time.

When I lived in Birmingham, Alabama, my (now ex) fiance and I would drive up the same mountain where Vulcan (a famous statue) was perched and just sit on a big rock, overlooking the city. And growing up in Tennessee, my high school sweetheart and I's special place was under a willow tree gazing out onto the Cumberland River.

Obviously, I'm a big fan of views.

You can do it as a date or, if you're lucky enough to live near a great spot, you can just take ten minutes to sit out there and simply enjoy each other's company, soaking in the beauty surrounding you.

Do you have a favorite view? If so, where is it?
