Having kids and making love last is not always a walk in the park. So we've decided to highlight those lovebirds who've managed to make it work. Please meet Julie, from Table for Seven, and her husband James — and take a peek into how they met and what quirks they accept in each other. After 12 years of marriage, can anything really be a surprise?

Who: Julie and James

Together: Married for 12 years

How they met: We met at a church dance in 1997 and have been together ever since.

Was it love at first sight? There was an attraction at first sight, but we started as friends.

What was the courtship like? It was pretty smooth sailing. We met at the dance and he asked me out for the next night. I didn't come home until 4 a.m.! I was still living at home at the time, and when he came over for Sunday dinner, my mom asked him what his intentions were, even though we had just met that weekend.

What are your favorite quirks about each other? Julie: He loves to play games, like Zelda and Mario Kart.

James: I'm always moving the furniture around ... and she lets me do it.

If you could change one thing about each other, what would it be? We wouldn't change anything about each other.
