Powerful Viral Video Uses X-Ray to Show We All Love the Same Way

love has no labels viral videoWe're all guilty of holding preconceived notions based on race, gender, sexual orientation, age, disability, religion, or body size. And of course, it's not unusual for those notions to cause us to judge others or cloud how we act toward them. So, for as much progress as we've made with equality for everyone in the last 100 or so years, we could always stand to have our eyes -- and hearts -- opened even more. And that's exactly what this amazingly emotional, powerful PSA from the Ad Council, R/GA, and Helpsgood.com aimed to do.

The video, entitled "Love Has No Labels," has gone viral in a matter of hours, because it's just that touching. The clip was shot on Valentine's Day in Santa Monica, where people gathered around a large X-ray screen, only to see various groups of skeletons kissing, dancing, hugging, holding hands.

It was only a matter of minutes before the crowd realized these skeletons were real people, as they stepped out from behind the screen and revealed themselves to be diverse human beings whose relationships have at least one thing in common: love.

Now, if that doesn't make you want to hug and kiss and dance with all your fellow humans, you have no soul. No, but seriously, what an incredible way to give the masses a needed wake-up call about all of our latent prejudices. Love is love is love. And we can't help but LOVE seeing that illustrated so very perfectly here.
