Worst Husband Ever Tries to Hook Up With Nurse Who Delivered Wife's Baby

man holding wife's pregnant bellyYou need only watch a few minutes of TV or flip through a tabloid to see that lots of married people cheat on their spouses. But there's sneakypants Don Draper-style cheating ... and then there's the man on Craigslist trying to hook up with his wife's nurse!

Oh, wait, and it wasn't just any ol' nurse taking care of this man's wife. No, no! Get this: She's a labor and delivery nurse, who was helping bring their child into the world! AGH!

While its authenticity appears to be up for debate, the very disturbing ad did turn up in the "Missed Connections" section of the Jacksonville, NC Craigslist, reading:

This is probably a long shot but you were the nurse taking care of my wife while she was having our baby. I enjoyed our eye contact and would really like to talk to you more. Maybe tomorrow I will be there most of the day and I will bump in to you in the hall way or see you at the nurse station.

Wowowow. Okay, let's suspend our disbelief for a moment here. There's a teeny tiny, albeit highly doubtful chance that the new parents in question are in an open relationship. Or are in the midst of a divorce. Or he somehow forgot to write "ex-" before "wife." And thus, this man lives in a world where pursuing his wife's nurse, especially so publicly, is -- gulp -- acceptable. But that's a stretch, right?

Otherwise, we can only hope that this is a crazy fake gag. Because, seriously, as if infidelity wasn't bad enough, it doesn't seem possible to disrespect your spouse any more than by seeking out a hookup in this blatantly public, shameless way. And in the wake of the becoming a parent. Oof. If this is for real, this guy definitely deserves one thing -- a prize for Worst Husband of All Time.

Do you buy this? What would you do if you found out your husband posted an ad like this?
