This Is Officially the Worst Email a Bride Could Ever Send to Her Bridesmaids

Everyone knows a wedding day is all about the bride. (Sorry, fellas.) But some ladies really take this to the freakin' extreme. Recently we heard about the bride who put her bridesmaids in ugly dresses so all eyes would be on her. And now comes this doozy.

A bride-to-be sent out an email to her potential bridesmaids that was so long, so convoluted, so demanding, so condescending, and so just generally Bridezilla that one of them sent it into Gawker. You won't believe the long diva-like list of caveats, warnings, and backhanded insults contained in this email that is supposed to entice her friends into wanting the "honor" (as she calls it) of being her bridesmaid. It's too long to reprint in its entirety, but I'll get to the juicy bits.

First up, the bride's wedding isn't for a year, but she needs to know now (NOW!!!) whether you can attend. Well, okay. I guess some people do plan these things far in advance. But she also needs to know now (NOW!!!) whether you can attend not one but three pre-wedding parties. Oh, and they're all in different states. And if you can't make one, then you are out of all the rest.

The parties and the wedding take place in three different states. On three different dates. But she doesn't quite know all of the dates yet, so you must let her know your plans for the next seven months. She phrases it so politely too:

I would like everyone to send me any dates they are going away or planning to go away after February so if your going away in January I don't care. I want any dates from February to the day of our wedding in August, that way we know not to plan something when your away. But after this week the dates are set in stone.

And forget about it if you can't afford three parties and a wedding in three different states. She writes:

Also if money is tight and you cant afford to contribute to say the bachelorette party or wont be able to afford a dress etc then L— and Myself don't have time to deal with that, I'm sorry ... Obviously we'll get the best deals and were not gonna books flights for $1000 and shit that's why were doing this in advance, that goes for bridesmaids dresses as well everything will be affordable but if you think by affordable its going to be a $25 forever 21 dress then your going to the wrong wedding.

You'd think this would be enough harping for one email, and already enough to turn off every single one of your friends from wanting to be a bridesmaid. But she then goes on to state that if anyone thinks it might take them two to three days to return an email, they should also opt out of the "honor" of being a bridesmaid.

Whew. This isn't so much an honor as a curse. I wonder how many friends responded? What they said? Did they just block her email and pretend they never knew her?

Where is all of this craziness coming from? Oh right. She includes that too:

Furthermore, Ever since I could remember I have dreamed about this day all my life. I want to share it with the people that are most important to me. You only get one time to plan your dream wedding and I couldn't pick a more amazing group of girls to make that dream come true!

By dream does she mean nightmare? I guess this is what happens when you sit around dreaming of a day rather than a life.

Would you be this woman's bridesmaid?
