Natalie Portman & Benjamin Millepied Hold Secret Wedding Ceremony but Keep Us Guessing

Benjamin Millepied and Natalie PortmanThough we long suspected that a wedding would be happening at some point (or had secretly already happened) for Natalie Portman and Black Swan choreographer Benjamin Millepied, we just didn't expect it to happen last night. It did, however, and the two -- who have been sporting wedding bands for months -- are now oficially man and wife!

Though there are no photos at this point, some details have been released. According to Us Weekly, the Jewish ceremony took place last night in Big Sur, Calif., in the dark, underneath a chuppah.

People says the venue was a private home (though whose home is unclear), and the ceremony was attended by family and friends, including Ivanka Trump

So far, there don't seem to be any details about Natalie's wedding dress, the food, or other fun tidbits, but hopefully they'll be forthcoming. They're a pretty secretive pair, however, so I'm not holding my breath for too much.

It wasn't that long ago that Portman was pretty vocal about not being into marriage at all. In 2008, she told W:

I’m into monogamy. But I’m not really into marriage right now. I sort of hate the legal aspect of it. What does the state have to do with it?

It's funny how things change when you meet the right person. They also have a child together -- little Aleph -- which sometimes changes things.

Of course, we still don't know exactly what kind of wedding they had last night. There's still the question as to if this was just a wedding "celebration," as some are calling it. Perhaps the couple really has been married for awhile and just decided to have the ceremony this time to celebrate their union with family and friends. We may never know.

In any case, congratulations to the newlyweds. Hopefully they'll at least show us video of their first dance at some point!

Are you surprised to learn that Natalie Portman and Ben Millepied tied the knot?
