Soldier’s Homecoming Proposal to Shocked Girlfriend Is Very Sweet (VIDEO)

soldier proposesAirports have become hateful places full of angry people and crying kids, but every now and again, we get to see the softer side of the terminals. I'm not talking about when the airline hands you a free snack pack because your flight's been delayed nine hours, I'm talking about l-o-v-e. Soldier Davin Hill traveled 20 hours from an Air Force base in Korea to pop the question to his girlfriend of two years, Jessica Phillips. She thought she was at Tampa International Airport to meet up with a friend (Darin's brother's wife) but quickly realized that the T.V. cameras and the guy with the roses probably meant something else was up. Darin, who's on three weeks leave, got down on one knee and ...

she said yes. There was some confusion on which hand the ring should go, but in the end, none of that really matters. Jessica looked more than happy, and slightly in shock, and said that waiting for him to get home, permanently, is completely worth it.

Darin will head back to Osan, Korea in a matter of days, but this time he'll be leaving behind a fiance, instead of a girlfriend. Aww. Here's to the happy couple, and to a safe return!
