Jessica Biel & Justin Timberlake's Marriage Might Already Be Doomed

jessica biel justin timberlakeIf there was a rating system for how likely two lovebirds are to have a successful marriage, celebrity couples would start out with a score of something like negative bazillion. As we all know, the rich and famous just do not have the best track record when it comes to making their marriages last. And unfortunately, a lot of times, it seems like the problem is a common one they claim to not have much control over: Work and distance -- often a result of their work -- come between them. (Or in Brad and Jen's case, another A-list actress, or in Kim and Kris's case, a reality TV franchise, but I digress.)

Consider soon-to-be-wed celebs Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake. Recent quotes she's given allude to danger lurking in the wings. In a recent interview, she admits she doesn't think marriage will change their relationship (fair enough), but the reason why she thinks this sounds like a red flag.

She told the French magazine Gala in a translated interview:

To me, nothing will really change, because I'm almost never home!

Eeek! And if that weren't reason enough to get nervous that they might not make it, she said, "It will be a challenge finding a balance between my private life, family and work, and I'm ready." Alright, at least she admits it's a tough juggling act, and she's prepared to step up to the plate. As long as JT is on the same page and willing to put in the effort, too, they've got a real shot at making it work. But if they start to favor their careers and being out of the house significantly more than being together and working on their marriage, they might just go the way of far too many "star"-crossed lovers.

But unfortunately, this isn't a disease afflicting only celebs. Striking the right balance between your marriage, family, and career is something so many of us struggle with. Thinking you have to be Superwoman is a real issue we modern women face every day! But I've always felt like the couples (celeb or not) who seem to make it are the ones who realize what's most important in life (see: Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck, Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell). Hopefully these two crazy kids have their priorities straight, because I'd love to see them defy their Hollywood odds.

Do you think striking that work-life balance is the key to making a marriage work? Are these two built to last?
