Florist Offers $1,000 Reward to Person Who Helps Him Find Future Bride (VIDEO)

marry daveWhat do you do if you've tried and tried to find love, but haven't had any success? If you're a studly man from Watertown, Massachusetts, you break out your wallet. Dave Greenberg is offering $1,000 to anyone who introduces him to his future wife, and he's serious. He set up a website,, and describes himself as fit, faithful, and attentive (score!) and is looking for a woman over 50 with whom he has good chemistry. Dave believes in marriage, and will happily hand over the one thousand Gs to his matchmaker at his wedding.

If you really think about it, Dave's idea is kind of brilliant. Why pay online dating service fees and go through all that hassle when you can just have others do the work for you through a somewhat vetted process of elimination? Dave's on to something.

And frankly, he seems like a gosh darn catch. He's a florist, for one, and owns his own shop, he takes care of himself, and he clearly has a kind-heart, a sense of adventure, and great sense of humor. What could be better than free flowers for life with a sweet man who's just looking for happiness?

I'd go for Dave myself, but alas, I don't meet his age requirement. Also, he lost me when he said he's not a good flier, yet wants to retire from the suburbs of Boston to San Diego, California. That's one helluva road trip, if you ask me, and I don't know if I could handle the claustrophobia. So I guess Dave and I aren't meant to be. Sigh.

But! I'm sure there's someone out there who would make him really happy. And if you know someone, and could use an extra $1,000, don't be shy. Dave's fielding the emails as fast as he can!

What is the strangest thing you've ever done for love?
