The female orgasm is a mystical, magical thing -- any woman knows that. We have them, men want to understand them, and sometimes, they just don't happen.
So listen up, ladies and gents. Grab your pen, and take some notes. We're about to learn more about women's orgasms. Ready?
First, what happens during an orgasm?
When a woman has an orgasm, her body reacts physically in the same way, no matter what area is being stimulated -- including an increase in blood pressure, breathing, and heart rate. Then tension starts building in the pelvis before the muscles contract throughout her body (especially the vagina, rectum, pelvic floor, and uterus).
All that tension is released upon orgasm.
So what are some things we can learn ABOUT these mystical female orgasms?
Relax - sometimes it takes a long time for us to get there. Instead of obsessing about an orgasm, take a deep breath and remember - you have all night. If the sex act itself doesn't bring about an orgasm, your guy can always help you out afterward.
Women who feel self-conscious about being naked or having extra hair down there feel less sexy and are less likely to achieve orgasm. Explain to your guy that a little flattery goes a long way toward making you wild with pleasure.
Have your partner start slow - explain to him that you need time to get turned on and blow your top. Sometimes in the heat of the moment, guys forget that we women need to get our arousal on before we can get IT on.
Have him try massaging your G-Spot (located inside of the vagina), which swells when you're aroused. Some women love having this delicate area massaged, others don't. If it's not your thing, don't be afraid to tell him so.
Don't get all cirque du soleil on us. We love a little variety in our sex lives, but being flipped around like an acrobat can make us lose it. Our orgasm, that is. If we're happy in the position we're in, let us stay there and enjoy it.
