Did Kim Kardashian Make Her First Marriage Mistake?

kim kardashianKim Kardashian has got a lot on her plate. Not only is the 30-year-old involved with the Sears Kollection, and Dash, perfumes, and reality TV, but she's also a newlywed to husband Kris Humphries. And being married takes a lot of work, as I've learned from watching not only TV dramas, but sitcoms as well. There's a lot to suddenly juggle when two become one, especially if you're like Kris and Kim, who got married shortly after they met. This getting-to-know-you time as a wedded couple is pretty important, and I'm afraid to say that Kim might have made a big mistake on Tuesday that could've caused a small tear in their relationship.

Kim dissed Kris' family.

We've heard rumors that the Humphries family was appalled by their wedding -- that it was so outlandish and over-the-top that they were disgusted -- so it would seem logical that Kim would make a valiant effort to dissuade them of their diva nightmares and do her best to support her new hubbie's family.

But she missed the chance at Richie Rich's fashion show on Tuesday. According to Page Six, Kim and her sisters were supposed to join Kris to watch his sister Kaela walk the catwalk. Instead, Kim, Kourtney, and Khloe were no-shows at the event, leaving three empty seats next to Kris and his dad. Kourtney's absence was understandable -- she had to take Mason to the doctor after the poor guy bumped his nose -- but where was Kim?

Kris went with Kim to watch her half-sister Kylie walk in Avril Lavigne's runway show, so why doesn't Kim return the favor? I think the Kardashian family can be more than a little intimidating to join ... for goodness' sakes, it'd be like joining a kult or something (one I'm dying to be in, make no mistake about it) ... but I hope Kim realizes that Kris has a family that needs him, and her, as well.

They're married now and time will have to be shared between the Kardashians and the Humphries. I'm hoping Kim had a valid reason for not attending her sister-in-law's runway debut, because otherwise? It doesn't bode well.

What do you think?
