Well my my, hand me those smelling salts! Rumors that Ashley Judd will run for Mitch McConnell's Senate seat are looking more and more like a sure thing. She recently met with Democratic insiders in Louisville, Kentucky. She's also met with New York Senator Kirsten Gillibrand and Democratic pollsters. She looks more serious about running every day.

The Republican response to Ashley Judd's future in politics has been a resounding L.O.L. And that's just fine with me! Think the idea of this "radical" "Hollywood liberal" running for office in a red state where she doesn't live is hilarious? Keep laughing, Republicans. You keep laughing.

Ashley Judd once again finds herself the center of mockery from Republicans. She just makes it so easy sometimes. The starlet is currently considering a run for Senate in Kentucky next year to unseat current Minority Leader Mitch McConnell -- even though she currently lives in Tennessee.

Although the actress was raised in Kentucky, it’s unlikely that her self-proclaimed radically leftist political leanings offer even the slightest bit of electability in the solidly red state. Cue the GOP super PAC Crossroads, who put out an ad Wednesday poking fun at her Senate dreams.

Remember when Chris Brown beat up his girlfriend Rihanna and was sentenced to 180 days of community service? Last September, Bryan T. Norwood, the Chief of Police in Richmond, wrote a letter to the judge stating that Brown had successfully completed it by doing odd jobs at Tappahannock Children’s Center. His mom used to be a director there, and he supposedly helped out by washing windows, waxing floors, cutting grass, and picking up trash.

Now the L.A. County District Attorney is claiming that it all or part of it is bogus -- in one case he swore he was picking up trash in Virginia when he was actually on a private jet to Cancun. Whoops.

Some people are attacking one of my favorite ads from this year’s Super Bowl as “promoting sexual assault” because it depicts a teenager forcing himself onto the prom queen. Le sigh, people.

Audi’s ‘prom’ ad shows a seriously cute teenage boy getting ready to attend prom stag (no explanation as to why such a cutie had a problem getting a date, but whatever). His dad gives him the keys to his Audi, and presumably from the courage he gains by driving such a hot car, he parks right in the principal’s spot, walks into the dance, and plants one on the prom queen. The prom king does not look pleased, and the scene cuts to the boy driving away with a black eye and a giant grin. The tag line reads: Bravery. It’s what defines us.

Happy birthday, Rosa Parks! If the "mother of the freedom movement" were still alive, she'd be 100 years old today. (She passed away in 2005.) Growing up, I remember hearing the story of the exhausted seamstress from Alabama who one day decided she'd had enough and could no longer stand giving up her seat to white passengers. Her stand inspired the Montgomery bus strike, a major victor of the civil rights movement.

It wasn't until recently that I learned I had Rosa Park's story all wrong.

This wasn't just a random action of an individual. And Rosa Parks wasn't just a tired worker. She was much, much more than that -- and her real story is so much more inspiring.

The more things change, the more they stay the same. At least that’s how it seems with recent data that shows that the most common job for a woman to hold in the 1950s is that same as it was in 2010: Secretary.

Wait … what? Haven’t women broken the glass ceiling and those tired old stereotypes that dictate they’re better off in the secretarial pool than in some high-powered corporate role? Yes! But that doesn’t mean there’s anything wrong with more women than men filling secretarial roles in the workforce.

Equality! According to senior defense officials, it seems as though Pentagon chief Leon Panetta is lifting the restriction for women in the military to serve in front-line combat positions and elite commando jobs. This “groundbreaking” effort lifts the 1994 rule prohibiting women from being assigned to smaller combat units. This will likely eventually include inclusion into special operation forces like the Navy SEALS and the Army’s Delta Force.

Currently women already serve in combat support roles as medics, military police, or intelligence officers, but this would be the first time they’d be able to be assigned specifically to a combat role on the front lines.

Kat Cammack is the 24-year-old girl wonder in House freshman Ted Yoho’s congressional office. The former pageant girl and head cheerleader is the unlikely congressman’s chief of staff, and she’s hoping to shake things up on the Hill.

Ted Yoho isn’t exactly what you’d expect to find roaming the halls of the Capitol, so it makes sense that his chief of staff isn’t either. He doesn’t come from the typical background of a lifelong career in politics or law -- he comes from the farm. Literally. Prior to challenging 12-term Republican Congressman Cliff Stearns in the primary last August, Yoho spent 30 years as a large animal veterinarian.

If you're asking who the heck Katherine Webb is, you probably didn't watch the BCS championship game between Alabama and Notre Dame last night or haven't spent much time online today. Because her name and face are everywhere after commentator Brent Musburger completely went gaga for her while announcing the game.

Not just any random fan, she's Miss Alabama and the girlfriend of Alabama's AJ McCarron, and she is quite stunning. But the way he went on and on ... and on about her while the camera zeroed in on her face was definitely a little much. You hear Musburger say, "Wow, I'm telling you quarterbacks: You get all the good-looking women. What a beautiful woman. Wow!" And he doesn't stop there. See what you think.

Maybe President Obama should borrow one or two of Mitt Romney’s binders full of women, because there’s clearly a shortage of females among his top staff. The White House recently released a photo on its Flickr account with the caption: "In the Oval Office, the President meets with senior advisors to discuss the ongoing fiscal cliff negotiations."

There are 11 men in the picture and exactly zero females.
