Former Navy SEAL Does the Unthinkable After Being Shot in the Stomach

In a move that would make Chuck Norris do a slow clap, a former Navy SEAL drove himself to the hospital after chasing the assailants that shot him in the stomach in a parking lot. He says he plugged the hole in his abdomen while he drove to stop the bleeding.

Forty-four-year-old Christopher Mark Heben got into an altercation in an Akron, Ohio parking lot on Friday when he almost got run over by a car that was backing up. Some words were exchanged, and before he knew what was happening, he got shot in the stomach!

So he did what any normal human being would do and fell to the ground in agony. Just kidding! He jumped in his car and started chasing them down! Unfortunately, he had to change course and seek medical attention for the bullet wound in his midsection.

He's currently recovering at Akron General Medical Center, where he's apparently driving the nurses bonkers. He posted on his Facebook page two days after the shooting, "I've been up walking around, yesterday and again this morning. The nurses are telling me to 'take it slow'.....YEAH RIGHT!"

Ha! Good luck keeping this guy down.

Police are still tracking down the shooter but are optimistic that the publicity of the incident will generate some solid leads. Hopefully they catch the wimp perp.

Do you think Heben should've called for an ambulance?

(In Goofy's voice) "Well, uh, no, he did the right thing. Of course he did. He could've died, but who cares, he almost caught the jerks." What a stupid question.

Typical man, in wantin to get the bad guy and be a super hero but he'll be just fine. I've run into several like him and with each one they come to realize that they weren't exactly smart at the time. Ilmommie, I like your comment. You should find a way to get in touch with him, ya never know what can happen ;). Just glad to know the young fellow's ok.

Well, this way he has his car at the hospital when he gets ready to go home. Perfectly logical and perfectly military! My husband was a gunship helicopter crew chief and pilot in Viet Nam. One day the motor on the missile launcher blew up and blew shrapnel into his right leg. No problem, when he got back to the base, he and two other guys who were bleeding went to drink beer for a couple of hours. I said, "UH, I think I would have reported to the hospital." He said, "Honey, there were a lot of men wounded really bad. The medics needed to take care of them first." Military mind. These guys are tough.
