There's mean, and then there's this. Two teens from Maryland, 17-year-old Lauren Bush and an unnamed 15-year-old, are being accused of doing truly unthinkable things to a 16-year-old autistic boy. The abuse was discovered when one of the suspect's mothers discovered a video on her daughter's phone of the boy being tortured. According to police, the girls pointed a knife to his throat; made him walk across a frozen pond without helping when he fell in multiple times; and kicked him in the groin. But it gets worse. Much, much worse.

Warning: GRAPHIC DETAILS AHEAD!!!

Police claim that the girls coerced the teen into performing a truly heinous sexual act. Sheriff Tim Cameron said, "The victim was forced to masturbate and then copulate with a family pet. It’s beyond comprehension." It's still undetermined why the girls did this, or filmed it. Cameron said, "I’m hoping our investigation will get some answers. It’s hard to fathom. This is heinous and shocking. Why would someone show such hatred and evil to a person?" After the abuse was discovered, the girls were arrested and charged with assault, soliciting a subject in the production of child pornography, and false imprisonment. More charges may be added. Bush is being tried as an adult, and the 15-year-old as a juvenile.

Clearly, it doesn't need to be stated that this is a positively disgusting and heinous crime, but ... why? Like the sheriff said: Why would someone be so hateful to an innocent person for no reason at all. I'd venture to guess that one or both of these girls don't have the best home lives, but even so -- how do you torture an autistic boy like this? Or anyone?! It's incomprehensible.

If convicted, I hope these girls get the harshest punishment possible (though, what is that for something like this?). And after that, I hope that they never have children of their own. Because anyone who does something this cruel is pure evil. Wow.

What do you think a suitable punishment is for this crime?
