'The Stir' Turns Another Year Older & Reader Comments Are Better Than Ever

the stir 4th birthday

March 15 is a big day at The Stir! It's the day we turn 4 years old! (It's our birthday! It's our birthday!) Thanks to all of you, we've grown so much over the past year. And with you, we've LOL'd, OMG'd, and WOW'd over everything that's been going on in the world and at home -- from the new Pope to the Royal Baby to our own babies. You've been with us every step of the way, telling us exactly what you think of us. The Good, the bad, and yes, the ugly. We wouldn't have it any other way.

So like last year, when we celebrated our third birthday by recounting our most memorable reader comments, our writers are once again sharing their most favorite interesting comments. Enjoy!

Good stuff, right?

We'd like to thank you for all of your support and willingness to join in on all the conversations we start. To that end, we've been celebrating our birthday all week long by giving you the chance to win some pretty fantastic giveaways. Don't worry if you missed entering, you still have time to grab some swag! (Hurry though!)

Cheers to another fun-filled, engaging year! Oh, and keep those comments coming! (But be kind, people, be kind.)

What have been the most memorable posts or discussions you've had here at TheStir with fellow commenters this past year? Which bloggers do you enjoy reading the most?

This was fabulous! Keep up the good work ladies! I read TheStir most days as a balance to the news. I must say, however, I miss the "Kate Gosselin" posts...just due to the hilarious commentary that follows!

Renee Hernandez Maples

Im actually surprised that I didn't hear any of mine on that LMAO

Aw, that was cute and a little sad at the same time! It was fun to see you ladies!

I was a little surprised not to hear one of mine, but I do remember the "guessing game" comment! You know, we rag on their writing, but clearly it's the "Editorial Director" who needs to find a new line of work since one of the responsibilities of that job is to "uphold quality." Quality has been lacking for a long time now, and was absent completely in the Olsen sister article...Now that was a head shaker, and low even for The Stir. Must give the ladies a little credit for being able to make fun of the comments they receive, and some of the comments are malicious and mean, but honestly when a large volume of people tell you the site's going to pot, it's time to listen.

Lol, that was funny. I swore I saw a comment on here earlier that said these reminded her of the Mean Tweets bit Jimmy Kimmel does and I was going to agree, not sure why it was removed. This was equally as great! I also often read all the comments on articles for a good laugh sometimes.
