After spending a happy Christmas with the royal family and, prior to that, leading a group of over a dozen injured service members on a three-week, 200-mile trek to the South Pole to raise awareness for Walking With the Wounded, Prince Harry will reunite with his love, Cressida Bonas, around New Year's Eve. According to The Mirror, the couple may have celebrated Christmas apart with their respective families this week -- Harry at Sandringham Estate and Cressida with her father Jeffrey and stepmother Penelope just a few miles away from the royal estate in Norfolk -- but they're reportedly eager to spend some time together and catch up once both are back in London.
As it turns out, they were able to spend a couple of days together after Harry got back from the South Pole.
The pair were guests in Virgin mogul Richard Branson's mansion, visiting with Branson's son Sam and his wife Isabella Calthorpe, who is Cressida's half-sister. But besides that, they've had little time together -- and around the holidays, that can be especially tough. So good to know they'll be back together to ring in the new year!

It's also heartening to hear that they've been able to stick it out through all this time apart. After all, distance and time apart -- especially in the case of the rich and famous -- can often lead to a split. Or it can make the heart grow fonder. Having the opportunity to miss your partner can bolster romance in a wonderful way. And knowing you can handle time apart may speak volumes about how committed and mature your relationship is.
That said, seeing that Harry and Cressida have now been together for more than a year and a half, and they're as excited as ever to be together again, I wouldn't be surprised if they are headed down the aisle -- at some point, of course!
Has spending a little bit of time and space apart ever made your relationship even stronger?
