If it's anything Rielle Hunter should know about her erstwhile boyfriend John Edwards, it is that the guy doesn't exactly commit fully to his relationships. Rielle should know, of course, because he got her pregnant while still married to his late wife, Elizabeth. But reportedly Rielle is so upset by John's new 35-year-old girlfriend that she has "stopped eating and barely gets out of bed."
Rielle, who has a toddler named Quinn with the rascally former presidential candidate, is supposedly depressed that John has, alas, turned out to be a cad. A source tells the National Enquirer:
Rielle sobbed and threatened to do something drastic, but John didn't buy it and just coldly walked away and back into the arms of his new girlfriend.
Hmm, imagine John walking coldly away from a sobbing woman. Hard to believe.
Before you pooh-pooh the source, keep in mind it was the Enquirer that broke the John's secret baby story to begin with. (I suspect Rielle has the tab on speed dial.)
Anyway, I have no trouble believing that Rielle is probably gobsmacked by John's new relationship. Rielle fell for the old "magical thinking" wherein a dude who acts like a jerk with other women magically won't with her. Rielle, I've been there. I think a lot of us have.

Of course, John may have good reason for walking away from Rielle, considering she wrote a tell-all book about him and their relationship.
But really, what is so hard about believing that if a man will cheat with you, he will cheat on you? It's got nothing to do with you. Some men are hard-wired to cheat or have been doing it for so long and getting away with it for so long, why should they change?
But I'm sure his new girlfriend thinks it won't happen to her either.
Do you think once a cheat always a cheat?
