Chilling Sound of 'Angels' Singing at World Trade Center Might Make You a Believer (LISTEN)

Kiri Blakeley OMG

The horrific terrorist attack on the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001 is one that the world will never forget. Especially New Yorkers. Even those of us who didn't see the planes hit lived with the aftermath for months -- the acrid smell of the burning towers; the horrifying sight of thousands smiling faces looking out from missing person's posters; the sound of military planes buzzing overhead. Now the Freedom Tower and 9/11 Memorial have been built. And some are noticing eerie stuff happening at the site of the World Trade Center. After all, if ghosts exist anywhere, they would have to exist at Ground Zero, given the thousands who died there.

First, spooky noises that sound suspiciously like a choir have been heard coming from the WTC area. New Yorker Kenny Cummings describes the sound as "unmistakable and very chilling" and says, "I live a couple of blocks from the tower, and first heard this very eerie sound during Hurricane Sandy last year."

Erik Torkells got the sound on tape and uploaded it to YouTube. Take a listen:

Could just be the wind, but REALLY sounds like a chorus, doesn't it? My other thought was that there could be a church not too far from there where people are singing and the sound is carrying. BUT. It could also be ... some are saying this is an angel's face in this twisted steel from the WTC. She's totally got her mouth open like she's singing too!

Well, folks, I don't know how much I believe that these are signs that angels have taken over Ground Zero, but I do know all of those poor souls must be somewhere. Maybe they finally felt safe enough to come out.
