A Connecticut widower and father of three has been accused of drugging his 12-year-old daughter so she'd go to sleep and he could have sex with her 12-year-old friend. The disgusting trick was discovered when the young girl's friends found text messages between her and the 42-year-old widower.

Robert Chesters was arrested for having a sexual relationship with his daughter's 12-year-old friend, which started after his daughter brought her friend home for a sleepover. According to court documents, Chesters reportedly texted to the young girl:

I am so lost without you :-( [Blank] is gone next weekend And [daughter's name] will have Benadryl so you can lay with me comfortably and love me.

He also reportedly wrote:

When we made love last night your heart really showed through everything.

Arrrrghhh. How awful. This guy genuinely thinks he's having some sort of love affair -- with a 12-year-old! He's 42! How truly pathetic.

When the girl's friends saw the messages, they reportedly told authorities at their middle school, who then called police. Chesters was charged with first-degree sexual assault charges and risk of injury to a minor.

The scummy dude even tried to get the girl to clamp down on her friends, reportedly texting:

As a last resort tell them [daughter's name] will lose her dad for ten years if they say anything. No matter what happens I LOVE YOU.

Ugh, dude, you don't love a 12-year-old girl.

Cops apparently found Chesters unresponsive, sitting in his truck with a suicide note nearby. But he was still alive.

I understand a widower and father of three being lonely, but there is really of excuse for this. Plenty of women out there are of legal age. This guy just ruined his daughter's trust. And indeed who will take care of these children now? He put his needs before them.
