Every year, Halloween presents the perfect opportunity for pranksters to unleash hilarious and sometimes terrifying gags on their family, friends, and often entire neighborhoods. Case in point: I've been driving by one house in which the front yard is littered with life-sized zombie dummies, decapitated dummies, randomly strewn dummy legs, etc. Some people might think it's funny, but on my way to the gym some mornings, when it's still dark outside, it's truly disturbing!
That seems to be exactly how some people felt about a recent Halloween prank that took to the skies in a park this week. Comedian Tom Mabe devised a remote-controlled skeleton that he calls the Flying Reaper and sent it up in the air to chase after all manner of people minding their own business. I have to admit, the result -- at least when you're watching from afar -- is pretty riotous.
Check it out ...
Ah, so freaky! While you can't help but laugh watching these people get scared out of their minds by the winged version of Death (which really reminds me of Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey ...), I feel pretty bad for the people who were stalked by the contraption! Can you imagine that thing coming after you!? Horrifying!
But to Mabe, who is a self-described "crazy dad" from Louisville, Kentucky, says it was just "a lot of fun." He revealed his upcoming Halloween plans to The Daily Mail:
Wherever there are people, we will go. We have since managed to make its eyes glow red, and we are going to go out at night and scare people. ... We're going to take it to a street where there are always lots of trick-or-treaters and are going to set a camera up from inside the Reaper's face to capture the children's reactions. I have always wanted to do this, it's such a laugh.
Oh man, let's just hope the people he goes after with the Reaper have a good sense of humor!
How do you think you would react if this winged version of Death came after you?!
