Lance Armstrong Reportedly Doped in Front of Sheryl Crow While They Were Dating

Oh Lance Armstrong ... what an interesting life you've led. Tour de France champ, cancer survivor, disgraced athlete ... You've certainly had some ups and downs, haven't you?

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say it was probably those "high" moments that made you believe you were invincible and above reproach for all the doping you did. Why else would you do it openly -- in front of your fiancé Sheryl Crow?

According to a new book by two Wall Street Journalist reporters:

Rather than try to hide the transfusion from her, Armstrong was completely open about it .... He trusted that Crow would have no desire to tell the press or anyone else about the team’s doping program. He explained that it was simply part of the sport -- that all cyclists were doing the same thing.

Wowza -- talk about your cognitive dissonance. There's always a rationalization for bad behavior, isn't there?

I have to dope because everyone else is!

It's ok because I'm honest with my girlfriend about it!

It's just part of the sport!

I'm an inspiration, I have to keep winning!

Everyone else is doing it.

Everyone else is doing it.

Everyone else is doing it.

It's no excuse, Lance. I hate to mention the cliff that your friends jumped off of, but ... yeah.

I'm glad that you finally were honest about juicing. I'm glad you were stripped of your titles. I really hope nothing but the best for you moving forward.

Because the fact that you doped openly in front of your fiancé just proves the level of denial you were in.

Are you surprised that Lance Armstrong doped in front of his loved ones?
