Weren't happy with the George Zimmerman trial verdict? Neither, it seems was the police chief of the Florida town where the controversial former neighborhood watch commander hails from. Thought he was acquitted earlier this summer of murder in the Trayvon Martin case, Zimmerman seems to have the cops in his community worried.
Emails from Lake Mary Police Department Chief Steve Bracknell were released by Think Progress this week with some pretty damning comments about Zimmerman. Among them?
Bracknell allegedly agreed with assessments that referred to Zimmerman as a "ticking time bomb" and "Sandy Hook, Aurora waiting to happen."
Scary words! Bracknell has since told NBC News that although the emails are legitimate, he was really "trying to reassure a citizen concerned with Zimmerman."
Not sure what about that sounds reassuring!
What do you think? Are these descriptions of Zimmerman right on?
