'Angel Priest' Appears Out of Nowhere & Saves Woman Trapped in Car

OMG 13

Do you believe in angels? Chances are you do. Know how I know? Because apparently eight out of ten Americans believe in angels. That's more than those who believe that the sun will rise tomorrow! And when you hear this story, you may start believing if you don't, and if you do, then your belief in angels will just get stronger!

So it goes like this ... A woman in Missouri gets hit head-on by a drunk driver. Her Mercedes is totally mangled and she's trapped within the wreckage. Emergency responders are trying to get her out, but she's stuck between the steering wheel and the seat and not even the many responders on the scene can get her out. Then ... the clouds parted and harps twanged. Well, not really. But they might as well have. Because suddenly a priest appeared out of nowhere on a road that had been blocked off for miles.

According to everyone on the scene, the priest suddenly appeared just as the woman stuck in the car, Katie Lenz, began to feel life slipping away from her. He had anointing oil with him and bent over Katie and told her to relax. He said a prayer. She said a sense of utter calm came over her.

And then he turned to the firefighters on the scene and told them they would now be able to get her out. Chief Raymond Reed told KHQA-TV:

I can’t be for certain how it was said, but myself and another firefighter, we very plainly heard that we should remain calm, that our tools would now work, and that we would get her out of that vehicle.

That minute, a neighboring fire department arrived with the jaws of life and they were able to cut Katie from the car and free her.

Everyone turned to thank the priest but ... well, did you think he'd still be there? Of course not. Angels do their business and then move on.

Reportedly, the highway had been blocked for miles and there were no bystanders or parked cars near the accident.

Other explanation? A priest saw the blocked road, knew someone must be in trouble, and walked until he found it and did what he could to help.

BUT. This doesn't explain why no one has been able to find him. Apparently there are several Catholic churches in the area but the mystery priest has yet to reveal himself. Maybe he doesn't watch the news? Says Katie's friend, Travis Wiseman:

We're looking for the priest and so far, no one has seen him. Whether it was a priest as an angel or an actual angel, he was an angel to all those and to Katie.

Katie has several broken bones but hopes are high for her recovery. The driver of the other car has been charged with DWI and second degree assault.

Whether it were divine or human intervention, the fact remains: He was an angel. They exist! Why don't they always come when people need help? Well, who knows the answer to that question. Maybe it's time for some people and not for others. Maybe there's only so many angels to go around.

Have you ever had an angel come to your rescue?

Ero why does this offend you because she thinks it's an angel?? So what don't read articles about angels if it offends you. You think just bacause we have different beliefs that we can't say we think it's an angel but you can loudly say you think it isn't and they aren't real right?? GTFO!

dunno about you Ero, but I know there are people out there who aren't Christian (or practicing) but believe in angels

I'm neither a practicing member of any religion nor do I believe in angles. That being said I finds Ero's comment both rude and unnecessary. If this woman and the paramedic crew believe they encountered an angle what right do any of us have to nay say them? Ero you knew going into this article you weren't going to agree with the info presented so it seems to me that you are just looking to stir up discord. Well you have succeeded and you look like a jackass for doing it.

Damn autocorrect I meant to type angels.

An "Angel Priest"? It's Father Seelos of New Orleans. Many miracles have occurred on his behalf & he's known to help people in medical danger or with medical issues. Theres no other explanation for me!!

Ero- I am Pagan myself, and you just made us all look ridiculous. Besides, Pagans generally DO believe in Angels, whether we call them Angels, Fae, Daemonos, or Spirits.

You don't have to believe, but getting offended by other ppls believes (especially since the belief in Angels is completely benevolent) makes all Pagans unlikable.

My dad once told me a really cool story about one of his coworkers.  I wish I remembered all of the details but I'm blanking on them (its been a long time since I heard the story) but his coworkers car started smoking.  He pulled over because there was a sparks or a fire starting.  He was on a back road somewhere and didn't see any cars coming.  A man that was over 6' showed up and asked if he needed help.  He had a fire extinguisher and put out the car fire and tossed the extinguisher back into his truck.  My dad's coworker turned around to thank the guy and there was not a trace of him.  He didn't say bye, his truck didn't make a sound and he never saw the guy drive away.  My dad tells the story better but his coworker was convinced it was an angel helping him.

Yes. I had an angel watching over me the night my ex told me that he was going to kill me. I actually had two. I ran into them at 3am on a deserted road after jumping out of a vehicle and running across a four lane highway while 6.5 months pregnant. The angels made sure I didn't get hit by any cars (I didn't care to check) and they helped to keep me safe when my ex came to "collect" me telling them I was drunk and not to believe a word I said. It was the scariest night of my life.

I have had a couple of incidents in my life, wont bore you all with details, but as a child I was saved not once, not twice, but three times by angels from noises made on a baby monitor to a tap on my mothers shoulder bacause of something an older child had done at a bbq. I will always believe in angels, I will always believe in who I believe in, and I love knowing that others have been so blessed as to be graced by the presence of an angel as well.
