We see military reunions of all kinds -- Mommy or Daddy surprising their kids, big hugs and tears at Disney World, sailor returning home to happily shock each of his or her family members one by one ... But let's not forget that many servicemen and women often can't wait to get home to see their furry best friends. AKA their dogs! And when they reunite, it's bound to be an over-the-top, mushy, gushy experience.
Check out what happened when U.S. Navy Sailor Sunny Y. came home to his dog, Lucas, who he said he had left to the care of friends while he was deployed to Afghanistan for seven months ...
Aww! Sunny told WelcomeHomeBlog.com that the reunion with Lucas was "bittersweet," and obviously you can see why! The pair are adorably attached to one another. And ahhh, I absolutely love when you really can see just how much a dog missed his or her owner. My mother-in-law's dog (who I have taken to "co-parenting") seriously does a "doggie dance" just like this when I come home from being out of town for a few days!
Just goes to show that you should never underestimate the power of love between a human and their canine companion. Especially not the power of love between a sailor and his dog.
How heartwarming is this?!
