Moms Matter Hangout: What's All the Fuss with the Royal Baby? (VIDEO)

Moms Matter Google Hangout

America's got Royal Baby fever!

We just can't seem to get enough of Wills and Kate's new baby boy, and you know The Stir writers are on top of this important breaking news event.

If it's Royal Baby-related, we're all over it! Check out this week's Moms Matter Google Hangout, in which we discuss the carseat mishap, the long wait over a baby name, and how Kate Middleton is handling being the center of the world's attention at a time when she needs her privacy more than ever...

I'm pretty sure the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge watched our Moms Matter video as soon as it was posted on YouTube, because almost immediately afterward, they announced Royal Baby's name:

George Alexander Louis.

Darn. We were all hoping it would be Jaeden.Or perhaps Jayden. Or possibly Jaidunn. Even Jjadon would have worked for me.

By the way, has anyone noticed that his initials are GAL? Heh.

Anyway.

We wish the Royal Couple and their son the very best, and I think it's safe to say we all hope Kate and William will be left alone for a while to enjoy some private time with their new son. It's got to be tough going through such an emotional time in the public eye.

What do you think about Royal Baby fever?

Based on their public image (well, what else is there?) I really like Kate, especially her fashion sense.   She consistently picks classy and stylish clothes that I absolutely love. She has a beautiful figure and picks form fitting dresses that highlight it.  I love that she is covered up and respects her position in society as a royal. I like that so far, she has not rebelled or dressed slutty or has shamed the royal family. I hope that she maintains her clean cut image; wouldn't it be great that there was a public figure in the medua who looks and acts mature instead of so many American celebrities?   I sure hope their marriage lasts.

At first, I didn't know what the big deal was about this royal baby. But I kept hearing news about it and heck, even my MIL was anticipating the birth, considering that she never talks about stuff like this, so I found myself reading about it.  Fortunately, the day I started following the story was the day the babyvwas born. As for the nane, I think George is a bit okd fashioned and think Alexander is a better first name.

Frankly, I'm tired of hearing about the "Royal Baby!" He's not any different than any other baby. Conceived and came into the world the same way all of us did. In my mind he's not any more "Royal" than other babies. I could care less about the Royals!
