With graduation season in full swing, students hope their loved ones can be with them as they receive their diplomas, but it's not always possible. Parents, spouses, siblings could happen to be be serving our country miles away on the special occasion. Ashley Starkey believed that her husband, Kyle, who has been serving our country for three years in the U.S. Navy, wouldn't be able to make it to her commencement ceremony at Lorain County Community College in Elyria, Ohio. That is until she got a tear-jerking surprise on stage ...
When Ashley received her diploma, she was told someone had come a long way to see her graduate ... Right away, you see it in her eyes that she knows what's happening, and Kyle, who Ashley believed was overseas, appears to surprise his wife with flowers, a hug, and a kiss. So sweet!
Check it out ...
What an incredible graduation gift for Ashley is right! These two are so darn cute. The way they put their arms around one another and keep sneaking peeks at each other -- aww!!

I love that this sweet surprise made way for Kyle and other service members to be honored at this commencement for their heroism and sacrifices. And while I'm sure he appreciated it, you can tell Kyle -- who kept looking Ashley adoringly -- really wanted nothing more in the world than to just be there to show support for his wife of whom he is clearly so proud. It doesn't get much more heartwarming than that, folks!
Have you heard of or seen any special graduation surprises like this one this year?
