maskWhat's worse than having your house broken into while you're in it? How about having your house broken into, pulling off the burglar's mask, and realizing it's your own grandson. Yes, this actually happened to Pamela Dearinger, a poor grandmother in Albuquerque, New Mexico. One minute, she was sitting on her couch, watching TV, the next she's allegedly being attacked by a man wearing a bandana. And the really sad part is, after she pulled off the robber's mask and realized it was her grandchild, he reportedly still knocked her down and stole her purse.

According to police, Deringer's grandson, Thomas Clark, said that he needed the money in order to go to a casino. (Oh, why didn't you just say so, Tom!) And even worse, according to the criminal complaint, this isn't the first time Clark broke into his grandmother's home. He reportedly broke in one other time to steal her television. Thankfully, grandma is okay, but she did get a little bruised up and has a few cuts on her wrists.

It takes a special kind of person to be able to rob their own grandmother -- twice. By no means am I saying your run-of-the-mill thieves have scruples, but wow. To break into your grandma's house and hurt and steal from her? (Twice!) I believe a special place in hell is reserved for people like that.

If the allegations prove to be true, not only will Thomas have to pay for what he did legally, emotionally, he's going to have to live with this the rest of his life. I mean, I can't imagine he didn't break up the family. Who the hell would want to talk to this guy after what he did?

It had to have been difficult, but I'm glad Pamela called the police on her relative. Who knows what would have happened had she not? I mean, if this is the second time he's broken into her home, god only knows what could have been next.

What do you think of this?
