Vampire Mom Sucks Blood & Raises 2 Kids Because She Just Wants to Have It All

Not Julia Caples
You could be a vampire if you wanted to be. It's true. This is an actual lifestyle you can choose, and you don't even have to be born in Transylvania with pointy incisors or be immortal or anything like that. Just ask real-life vampire Julia Caples. The mom of two says she drinks nearly two liters of blood a month -- you know, kind of like how you do all that juicing? It's totally the same, only not vegan at all.

I just want to clear something up about Ms. Caples up front here before we go on: She does not, I repeat, does NOT go into people's bedrooms at night and suck their blood, turning them into new vampires. She is a highly ethical vampire, thank you very much, and only drinks the blood of friends. WILLING friends.

Julia is not the only vampire hobbyist in the area. There's actually a community of vampires who get together at their favorite goth nightclubs in New York, as you do. And she doesn't just bite into her friends -- she carefully slices into them with her custom sterilized pagan knife and then sucks their blood. She's been at it for 30 years -- ever since her teens.

Ms. Caples claims that sucking blood makes her feel healthier and stronger and that she's never sick. I guess it's all the extra iron? I'd love to hear a doctor weigh in on the health benefits -- seriously, I'm curious.

Oh my America. Isn't it great that there's room in this country for people like Julia? Instead of repressing her odd predilection for blood sucking, she just went for it. She's being the only Julia Caples she can be. This is the fullest expression of who she is, black velvet, caskets, blood-smeared face, and all. It definitely pushes the boundaries of self-expression, especially considering she's a mom. (Her kids do think it's kind of weird.) It's not for everyone, obviously. But hey, as long as she's not hurting anyone, why not?

Have you ever met a real-life vampire?

But it might hurt her. Did you miss the part in the news about the diseases she could catch? She says she has her donners tested once for HIV, but there are other nasty contagions in blood, and they could contract something after being tested. She also has a young child whom she says she hides this from, but all his friends will know about it now, and see the pictures on the Internet of her licking splattered blood off a tattooed man.

not personally but I have seen several shows where they feature people who drink blood.  One actually had a doctor tell her it was EXTREMELY risky and she needed to make sure she was drinking clean people and was clean herself.  As much as I like vampires as much as the next person, I personally would never drink blood; too many risks.

OK let me get this straight!! CPS takes away the kids of a Nazi family because they named  their son Hitler but CPS does nothing to a woman who drinks the blood of others!!! Something is seriously wrong with that, A parent has the right to name their kids what ever name they wish and yet being a self proclaimed practicing vampire is not a daner to the kids...Come on now give me a break...

I drink blood also it doesnt hurt anyone and it tastes good i have to have it. I also have 3 children under age 6 and none of them know so they r not effected. People who practice vamperism are no different then vedgitareans. Were people.

I'm a Pagan and I find this repulsive. Also, it's NOT typical of the Pagan community, so I don't understand what's with the "pagan knife" part and why would you spread stereotypical falsehoods without checking the facts before hand. The athame (I assume this is the knife you're talking about) is used to draw energy and it is NOT supposed to cut ANYTHING in the physical world. She doesn't do this because she's Pagan, but because she's a deranged individual. It's that simple. I'm a mother of two and I would NEVER expose them to such a gruesome thing.

I was wondering if some same pagan was going to weigh in on this, Oana. This chick needs some help. And maybe some restraining orders against her.
