You know, I read these Teen Mom stories sometimes and I think, "Damn, those girls are bananas." But here's a teen who makes even Jenelle look like Glinda the Good Witch. An Oklahoma girl told her boyfriend she was pregnant as an April fools' joke. And then she stabbed him in the neck with a pocket knife. As you do.
Okay, let's rewind and get those details. Supposedly, 18-year-old Tori Wheeler told her boyfriend, Derek Bauer, that she was pregnant. Police say she followed that up by brandishing the knife and threatening to hurt Derek. Kids? That's a really dangerous and un-funny place to take an April fools' joke. Don't do that. Anyway, things escalated from there and she ended up stabbing him in the neck and biting him. A bunch of times.
In her defense, Tori claims it was all just harmless funtimes until Derek got angry and threatened to call the police. I mean, why would he want to call the police? It's not like his girlfriend was threatening to cut him with the knife he gave her for her birthday or anything, sheesh. Now she's been charged with assault with a deadly weapon and probably wishes she'd just let the "OMG pregnant!" joke play out on its own without all the threats and knife brandishing.
The more I hear about this story, the less coherent Tori's prankster intentions seem and the more she just sounds emotionally unstable. Check out the conversation on Reddit, "my brother's gf told him she was pregnant...," supposedly started by Derek's brother. I have to agree with the commenters. They both sound kind of nuts. But it's sad that Tori's crazy landed her in jail and could possibly send her to prison as well.
What do you think Tori was thinking, and why would Derek give her a knife as a gift?
