Couple Discovers They Were Photographed Together as Kids 15 Years Before Falling in Love (PHOTO)

Awww! 36

couple disney photographIf you thought destiny only existed in books and films, think again. Alex and Donna Voutsinas' romantic story proves some couples were always meant to be. Just a few days before their wedding, the two came across a 1980 family photo of little Donna at Disney World -- and, incredibly, little Alex in a stroller being pushed by his dad in the background. In other words, the couple actually crossed paths 15 years before they met, fell in love, and got married. Ooh, it gives me chills. It's like they were always meant to find one another -- just like Matt Damon and Emily Blunt's characters in The Adjustment Bureau or Tom Hanks and Daryl Hannah in Splash (love those movies).

You might recall that the story and image went viral back in 2010, but when it was recently posted on Reddit, it set off a whole new string of amazing responses that are sure to restore your faith in fate ...

Like Reddit user that70sfan's story:

My husband and I were captured in 2 different photos on our college campus together before we knew each other. One was his bocce match where I happened to show up to watch and the other was the day we recognized National Merits at our school at halftime of a football game. Oh, and yes, we are nerds.

Or Reddit user JehuLove said about how his girlfriend sent him a photograph she took with her friends months before, and ...

There I was, in the background, photobombing her picture like a gigantic dork, a month before we'd ever met, in a city three hours from either of our homes.

Crazy, right? Just goes to show serendipity and destiny aren't figments of our imagination, and we don't have to rely on Hollywood to feed our hopeless romanticism. There's plenty of magic in real life, too!

Check out the CBS News story on the serendipitous events that just go to show Alex and Donna were always meant to be ...

Do you believe your marriage was "meant to be"?

love, marriage

My parents found out after they'd married that as kids their families both vacationed at the same campgrounds every summer. Even though my mom's father had died before she met my dad, apparently my parents dads had struck up a friendship one summer over a custom built boat and fishing. It was cool that her father-in-law remembered her late father.

I am five years older than my husband. During my first summer of grad school-age 22, my friends and I went to a Martina McBride concert. There were some "real" cowboys standing left of stage. Well, that was my 17 yr old future husband who I met 4 years later. We lived 160 miles apart at the time of the concert and were in very different places in our life. :)

My husband and I lived next door to each other in New Mexico when we were toddlers. Our moms where best friends. 16 years later I am in Las Vegas, NV with my mom looking for a job, and ran into my husbands mom. They (my mom and his) started chatting, and I was interviewing at the same place her son worked at. We met, went to lunch a few times, and are now happily married for 10 years with 2 kids of our own.

My husband and I went to the same elementary school YEARS before meeting each other in high school for what we thought was the first time. While looking thru my old pictures, he said hey honey, that's me :)

When my husband and I met it was graduation night from high school. I remember seeing him crossing over some steps, sophmore year, and felt like I was to pray for him. Anyway, we struck up a friendship on the night of grad. It wasn't until he finally came to my house and met my parents 3 months later, just how strange our encounter was. He sat next to me on the couch and my dad looked at him and out of the blue said "You're O'Bob's son, aren't you?" My hubby looked shocked and said yes. The story starts before I was born, our dad's worked together and my dad had held him when he was 2 weeks old. Then our horses that I learned to ride as a kid were actually bought from his dad. We had lived in the same neighborhood, went to the same high school, attended some of the same concerts and never met until graduation night. We were each others first date, first kiss, first boy/girl friend, first everything and this year will be 27 years of marriage.

My SO and I went to the same high school, at the same time, in the same graduating class, even had mutual friends but did not meet until we were 23 years old. And we have been together since.

One of my best friends from grade school and high school is engaged to my fiance's cousin. My friend her fiance and I all lived in Missouri and his cousin lived in Iowa. We found all this out at my fiance's family runion. It was a huge shock to find out that in the end my best friend and me would be distance cousins related by marriage. Oh and me and my fiance met by playing an online game not thru my friend or his cousin. :-)

My husband and I both attended the same Girl Scout Day Camp when I was six and he was only 5. He was there because his mom was a leader and he was too young to be left at home. We went to the same middle school and high school, but we didn't meet each other until he was 18 and I was 19. We have been together for 27 yrs. and have 2 beautiful daughters!
